Christmas in July Layout

Using the title, Decorating the Tree from the Creative Pointe Holiday Titles, I created a one-page layout of decorating both outside and inside Christmas trees for Christmas 2014.

The frame is created by Sheila Reid over at Pixelscrapper Digital Scrapbooking; and the tag is from misskatecuttables as a daily free file offered a few weeks ago.  I located the font and printed on top mat of the tag.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and looking at my occasional postings.  Have a blessed day.

April-May Card Kit (combined)

Good morning, this is going to be a busy blog day as I have several blogs to write and scheduled for May 2nd which is also National Scrapbook Day (NSD)  So on to my card that I used the Tea-rrific Stamp Set...

Supplies used:
  1. Stamp set from Hot Off the Press called You're Tea-rrific which I used my MISTI (i.e. the Most Incredible Stamp Tool Invented) and it is what is named a incredible stamping tool.  Aligns the stamp and sentiment right right where you would like it place and if not stamped clearly first time around, you can re-stamp as many times as you like to get the coverage you desire. (enough of the sales pitch!!)
  2. Coloring with Stampin! Up Ink markers and Stazon Black used.
  3. Gemstones from my stash
  4. Ribbon from my Stampin! Up stash created with my Bow Maker.
  5. The Shadow Box Scalloped Card from Creative Kuts
  6. Design paper from stash of paper pads
Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today; and when you have a free moment, head over to our The Scrapbook Blessings Club fan page and play along in the NSD activities today.  Blessings to all, and happy crafting to you all.

National Scrapbook Day - May 2nd

Tomorrow, May 2nd is considered National Scrapbook Day across the crafting community, and I would like to share a 2-page layout that I just finished for Creative Kuts ChooChoo Train using theme Spring Time.

The Girl with water hose, butterflies, Spring Time title and May; and white daisies from the Spring Time kit from Creative Kuts.  The cut file "Flower Bed"  a free file from Scrappy Dew.

Girl with Water Hose is print than cut using Cricut Explore Design Space.  It cuts out neater than the Silhouette Cameo Studio DE - no white edges to trim off like the Studio DE has!  Butterflies are also print than cut - easier to cut around the smaller pieces of the item.

Since I did not have gray paper in my stash, I used a yellowish colored card stock, layered with the top stone, and than placed taller grass in front  I believe the grass file is from the online library for Make the Cut software.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hope you Friday is filled full of happy crafting

HomeMade Saturday - Raggedy Ann 25"

Hi all, I am here to share with you a sewing project I've been working on for a month to six weeks.  About two years or slightly more my niece asked me if I would make another Raggedy Ann doll for her oldest daughter, Julisa as she applied make-up to her 15" doll and didn't like the doll....

So I decided to make a 25" doll for replacement and here is pics of the doll....

Doll w/out her hair

Finished project.

and the tag:

Ragdolls by Scrappy Dew.com .  Printed and cut using my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software.  Actually, I loaded file into my Make the Cut software, put all the pieces together to form the Raggedy and saved as a png file so I could print and cut (or if I prefer, print than cut on the Cricut Explore.)

Using Inkscape and Studio DE I created a little tag as a card, so my sister and I could sign the inside.  I know there will be a happy 10 year receiving this doll by the end of this week.  And I will be cutting and sewing together another 25" Raggedy Ann doll for her 3 yr old sister.

Thank you for visiting with me and happy crafting.  Enjoy spring wherever you are and be safe.

Spring Moments Layout

For today's layout I have what I call Spring Moments which is the title I have given to Cheryl Scrapinmini's April's Choo-Choo Train Kit which you can find on Facebook

Supplies used:
  1. 12x12 mats from Stampin! Up collection as well as the grass and the top mats of the ovals (eggs)
  2. Journal cards and Spring Moments sentiment (Journal Card) from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking
Bunnies and Girl I retweaked so I can print than cut on my Cricut Explore Design Space.  The flowers also print than cut and from one of my many scrapbook clipart sources.  The grass was for another project that didn't just quite fit, so I trimmed and placed over the bunny.

Thank you for taking time to visit me today, always happy to have visitors and comments left.  Happy crafting day to all.

Time for another challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club  and our theme for this challenge is a Color Challenge (with option of a fun fold).

See the details of who our sponsor is for this monthly challenge over at  Scrapbook Blessings Club

And the colors for the challenge are:

Now to my card for this challenge.  I chose a simple step card base for my Easter card, but I do not know where I purchased the file - it could be Studio DE file or a Cricut Design Space file. :-(

The Bunny Face and Hoppy Easter Sentiment from The Creative Pointe.
The 'pink' duck from It's Spring Time scrapbook layout kit ... this color was unintentional - my color ink cartridge is low on color.
The design paper from stash of paper.
Ribbon (Old Olive I believe) from Stampin! Up

Thank you for spending time visiting with me, and check out rest of the challenge participants at
Scrapbook Blessings Club  and join in with us in the challenge.  Happy crafting, and blessings to all.

Window Frames Gate Fold Card

Good morning, and happy to have you visiting with me today.  I am sharing a card I created using a version of a gate fold card I viewed on youtube.com by Dawn5377 (I am subscribed to her videos and receive notifications via e-mail).  Here is a link to her video; and she has other gate fold cards listed as well.

Sine I do not have this particular die cut I used another die cut which did make my inside card smaller than her version, but it works.

Here is the photo ....

Recipe for card:
  1. Card stock from my personal stash, the tag and mat Crumb Cake from Stampin Up
  2. Framelits - Labels Collection #125598 in Stampin Up catalog (page 231 of latest catalog)
  3. Faith in Nature stamp set from Stampin! Up (received as a hostess gift)
  4. Fiskar's Compact Stamp Press to help with lining up the stamping of images/sentiment (will be replacing this tool with the new MISTI that has just come on the market)
The white card mat will tuck in a pocket under the front gate fold which is super great for closing the card - no belly band, etc to close the card for mailing purposes (it's shown more in the video)

Coloring with Your Sponges and Reverse Masking

Good morning, Carolyn of Granny Ma's Creations sharing a 4.25 x 4.25 card I created with the Coloring with Your Sponges Reverse Masking  from StampTV  by GinaK Designs.  Now my card is slightly different than her's :-)

I stamped my image onto white card stock and than cut it out per instructions from the video.  I stamped the flower image all over the card mat and than layered the mask over each flower, and sponged using my old Close to My Heart ink pads (don't have very many!) and than highlighted some of the flowers with a dried up ink marker from Close to My Heart.  (Something tells me I need to replace a lot of my ink pads/markers from Close to My Heart!!)

I print than cut the label with Happy Birthday sentiment from Cricut Design Space, and placed over the pink ribbon.

Here is the video by Melanie Muenchinger

Give this a try, it is easy to do.  Thank you for stopping by to visit  with me today, and happy crafting.

Challenge - Pop Up Cards

This challenge is sponsored by A Day for Daisies designs... and the digi I used for this challenge is:

and to create a pop-up card and here is my pop-up card.  (Video will follow below on this pop-up card)

Front of Card

Inside of my pop-up card

Okay, I am sharing two techniques here.  The front of the card  is from StampTV video I received in my e-mail on February 12, called Scrappy Background.

A good way to use up your scrap paper, both on the front and in the inside of card.

Now the pop up is not, what I consider, a traditional pop-up.  I cut out the Happy Love Day bunny with balloon twice, and trimmed the balloon from the 2nd Bunny, making him/her the receiptant of the balloon(s).  The carrots was found on the online library of Make the Cut software; and the clipart from the following:

Row of Party Balloons clipart either by Jessica Weible Illustrations
WordArt - Love by Shmooangel Designs (found this clipart on Craft Crave a few days ago)
With the way I done the pop-up this card will be thick so need envelope created specially for it or use a padded envelope.

Another Friday Layout to share

The above two 12x12 layouts are ready to place photos in the empty spots, and than print and place in a scrapbook.  These two pages I worked on while in El Paso, Texas visiting and helping my son and family as my DT duties was put on hold while there. (No machines, cardstock etc to work with!!)

Now this digital 4x6 layout is completed, just needs to be printed.  But, in this case, I need to order more plastic cover sheets....

The embellishments from various scrapbook kits; and Snowman with Lights I believe from misskatecuttables; and 2014 I loaded the paper into Adobe Photoshop Elments and created a mask of the numbers to give it the newspaper look (thanks to the tutorials over at Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking).

Thank you for taking time to visit with me, and please visit us at Scrapbook Blessings Club and join us in the monthly challenges.

Love Is In the Air - 2 page layout

Page One
Page Two

Srapbook Kit will be available at Creative Kuts online store soon.  This was the February Scrapbook Kit that was offered to the passengers of the Creative Kuts Choo Choo Train over at Creative Kut's Facebook page.  If you would like to join us as passengers, you will need a invite to the group (closed group) and than inquire of Cheryl or read info on what to do to become a passenger.

Everything is included in the cut file for the two page scrapbook layout.  Only change I made was I loaded the kissing couple into my Make the Cut software, put the pieces together and than saved as a jpeg file.  Once I completed that, I loaded into paint.net and converted to a png file; and than loaded into Cricut Design Space, print and cut and I have a completed couple.  The first page was cut with my Silhoutte Cameo, page two all but the "Is In The Air" cut with my Cricut Explore.  "Is In the Air", to complete the page, I cut with my Cameo!!

Thank you for taking time to visit with me today, and happy crafting to all.

Valentine's Day Themed Layout - Love

Good morning, Carolyn here to share a Valentine's Day themed layout with you all...

I created this 2-page layout for a challenge over at Creative Cutting Challenges for a part of my design team projects, and would like to share with you the same project, if I may.

The following files from The Creative Pointe

Cupid and title Love from  Creative Pointe_Valentine
Title "Be Mine" from Creative Pointe_Be Mine

Square mats with heart border from SilhouetteAmerica Online Store (I believe).
Lace Heart mats  from SilhouetteAmerica Online Store
The heart border from a scrapbook kit by Cheryl Scrappinmini (Walton) of Creative Kuts
The little hearts scattered throughout the 2 pages saved from cutting out the square heart borders on the mat and the heart border at bottom of pages.

Clipart of Teddy Bear with Umbrella full of Hearts from my clipart stash/scrapbook kits.
Placed pink gem beads on two of the hearts.

The background paper from my paper stash purchased at Hobby Lobby or Walmart.

I hope your enjoyed today's project too. Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and Happy Valentine's Day weekend to all crafty people.

Ombre Challenge

Using Meljen's Digital Sweet Heart Lollipop I created this card for our February Ombre Challenge:

The one video I watched use a brayer to apply the ombre colors, and since I could not locate my brayer, I used sponges to apply the colors - Blush Pink and Cranberry from Close to My Heart (probably since retired as I had my ink pads for a few years).

I placed a scalloped-edge piece about where the colors changed and placed a ribbon from Stampin! Up collection and created a quick bow.  The flowers was included in February's Card Kit which I placed in the corner.  The hearts from another project and the bigger heart I layer with another heart and centered a bead.

The Sweet Heart Lollipop I colored the Lollipop stick with Red from my collection of Stampin! Up ink markers.  And used pinks from same collection of markers.  The Lollipop itself I used the Pink from Wink of Stella collection.

February Monthly Card Kit

Time for February's Montly Card Kit Hop

I am sharing this with you all, but apologize that it is not included in the video....but I am included in the blog hop and the list is down below...

I came upon this stencil in my stash and decided to create a "Feel Better" card.  I sponged the flower using my Stampin! Up White ink dye and than using the colored dots from the February Monthly Card Kit, I placed in the center.  Stamped "Feel Better" sentiment when there was a crease in matting that I caused when removing mat from card base because it was unevenly placed.  :-(  The flower design paper from the 6x6 pad of paper that came with the kit.

Easel Card with Drawer Challenge #34

Time for another challenge at Scrapbook Blessings Club and this 2-week challenge is Easel Card with Box Drawer.  This actually was to be for the present challenge but my card was the WRONG format, as you can see at Scrapbook Blessings Club.

The video I used to create this project is here which I found very easy to create.  The image I used was a freebie from

that I had in my files to use for challenges like this.  The paper for the box from my personal stash, the inside paper in the box is printed from SilhouetteAmerica online store along with the wordart used on the inside of the easel card.  I believe I used my Bic Mark It markers for coloring; and the pumpkin was print and cut using my Silhouette Cameo print and cut option.

Check out the DT's projects at Scrapbook Blessings Club or follow us on https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheScrapBookblessingsClub/.  Thank you for visiting with me and happy crafting to all.

Challenge #32 Shaker Card

First here is the video tutorial by Prairie Paper & Ink (AmyR) of a Shaker Card

And here is my Shaker Card....

This is the top/front of the Shaker Card, using a cut file from my Silhouette Studio DE Library I cut out the scalloped-window frame, and nine pieces of poster board pieces for the inside of the frame plus a clear plastic in the shape of the scalloped frame.  I print and cut the sentiment square piece and applied to the back of the framed poster board pieces.

The sequins found in the jewelry crafting department at local Wal-mart which was put inside of window.  All this I used Score-tape for adhering to each other plus to the card base.  Since I felt it was looking blah, I punched a scalloped edge, trimmed to correct size, and applied a ribbon for border and used two gemstones/beads for the corner.

This is the inside of the card, which as you can see is a birthday card for my soon-to-be 14 year old granddaughter.  I've been working on her 12x12 scrapbook and found the baby picture of her about 11 months old in my stash of photos and decided to create a mini-layout with baby picture and present day of 14 year old.  I created this mini-layout using my Adobe Photoshop Elements, printed out on photo paper and cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Layered it on her favorite colored mats and this is her birthday card, on it's way to Texas.

Thank you for stopping to visit with me, and take a moment and head over to Scrapbook Blessings Club for more inspiration, joining in the challenge(s) and apply for a position on the DT call.  Happy crafting to all
