Potatoe and Bacon Casserole Recipe Card

Good morning; I am here to share with you a recipe card/page I created for my Granny's Cookin' Recipe Mini-album.

I've been working on this recipe card from Creative Kuts titled Potatoe and Bacon Casserole; and I had posted pics of the mini-album I created from scratch using a 3 D ring binding mechanism instead of the Hidden Binding Plus System.  Hopefully I will get more pages into the mini-album this way.

Here is the completed recipe card - 8x8 card

I will have to admit here that this is the 3rd try on this card.  I laminated the card upon completion of the layout and wanted it to be winkle free as much.  The 2nd try had a winkle on the bottom edge after running thru the lamination machine; and I would like my projects to be as perfect as I can make them.

This is a svg cutfile, but I created png files from the individual files (ie: the potatoe and bacon grouped together and saved as a png file).  I loaded into my Cricut Design Space as a cutfile, than created a digital image and flattened it so I can cut out as a digital piece.

The background I layered in Adobe Photoshop Elements and printed it out as 8x8 card on watercolor paper (heavy duty) which I like and will be using for the rest of the recipe cards.  Than I adhered the photo of the casserole, title and Potatoe and Bacon piece with spray adhesive (have to use what I have right now :-) ) and than laminated the card, adhered the finished piece to black poster board cut to size and two holes placed on left edge.

Now to the front of this recipe book.  Using a cutfile from Scrappy Dew Scrap Factory, I created a Granny with a recipe tags, and two utensils (from Creative Kuts files) and here is the final results.

My next album from scratch will be 10x10 in size so the 8x8 photo protectors will work.  They will not work in this album - over hangs on the right edge.

Thank you for visiting with me; and may you have a blessed week.

Spring Time Girl and Clowns

I print than cut the following images using my Cricut Explore....

This image is from the Spring Time ChooChoo Train Kit for May from Creative Kuts.  I first placed each piece together, using Make the Cut software and exported as a jpeg file.  Converted to png format in paint.net and than loaded into Cricut Design Space and print than cut.  I will be posting the final layout of Spring Time layout in another day or so.

I created this image from Scrappy Dew's Clown Set.  I am planning to use in a Circus Mini-album later.

And this is pictures I took today of two pin oak trees that we planted a couple years ago and now have gotten taller; and a picture of a flower garden that I have named after my granddaughter's, the Alexis and Kassidy Flower Garden...

That's it for today, so will close out saying .... thank you for stopping by to visit with me and hope your day is full of crafting.

HomeMade Saturday - Raggedy Ann 25"

Hi all, I am here to share with you a sewing project I've been working on for a month to six weeks.  About two years or slightly more my niece asked me if I would make another Raggedy Ann doll for her oldest daughter, Julisa as she applied make-up to her 15" doll and didn't like the doll....

So I decided to make a 25" doll for replacement and here is pics of the doll....

Finished project.

and the tag:

Ragdolls by Scrappy Dew.com .  Printed and cut using my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software.  Actually, I loaded file into my Make the Cut software, put all the pieces together to form the Raggedy and saved as a png file so I could print and cut (or if I prefer, print than cut on the Cricut Explore.)

Using Inkscape and Studio DE I created a little tag as a card, so my sister and I could sign the inside.  I know there will be a happy 10 year receiving this doll by the end of this week.  And I will be cutting and sewing together another 25" Raggedy Ann doll for her 3 yr old sister.

Thank you for visiting with me and happy crafting.  Enjoy spring wherever you are and be safe.
