Creative Cutting Challenge theme for the first two weeks of April is Baby and since I have been working on a Baby Girl Mini-Album I thought I would use this for the challenge..... So here goes, and it may be a long blog write up as there is front cover, 4 pages and a back cover to show you. I have posted photos before but they were not completed and pages 3 and 4 is not completed due to running out of the necessary supplies to finish ... LOL (Wal-mart appreciates my business, I'm sure as they are the store I go to for craft supplies).
Here goes:
Front Cover
The title is a set from
http://www.creativepointe.com available at
http://www.cutandcreate.com
that I placed on the front of the cover for this Baby Girl's Baby
Mini-album. I supply my own paper when needed, and the skirting is
created from scrapbook paper that I downloaded from either My Memories
Suites software, printed out using Abode Photoshop Elements Version 7,
and cut the front of the skirting. Another section of skirting was cut
out in white cardstock, and the band across the bassinet was cut out
another scrapbook paper from My Memories Suite. I drew in stitches on
the title, "Baby".
Page One: Using the same scrapbook paper from My Memories Suite I cut
out to the size of bassinet/crib and than the top of the crib I placed a
layer of similar polka-dot paper and placed a ribbon along the edge,
dividing the section from the lacy edge. The three bears I found on a
search of the Internet...actually one bear that I welded together in my
Silhouette Studio DE software, and print and cut the piece along with a
background and layered over the edging banner.
PageTwo: I cut out two ladybugs which is a svg cutfile from
http://www.misskatecuttables.com
and placed on each end of the banner. The layered title I print and
cut and placed in the center; and the paper's from Joann Fabrics that my
granddaughter purchased for the scrapbook I am creating for her little
girl, Isabella....so I used in this mini-album as it's going to my
granddaughter.
Page Three: The baby bottle is a a svg cut file that I
created...actually the back ground of the bottle used on the back cover
of this album. The scalloped circle cut out wrong, but I liked it so
will use it to put a picture in...using as a frame
Page Four: It's actually plain right now....it will probably have photo mats and a mat for writing in information.
Pages
Three and Four: not completed yet...waiting to get some poster board
to cut out the main piece for the card stock to be placed on!!
The Back Cover.... Once again I found the design for the paper on the
Internet, brought into my software and printed it out to use as
scrapbook paper/designer paper. The bottle I created as a svg cut file
in SCAL3, and brought it over to Studio Design Edition to print and
cut. I found the scalloped circle and scalloped frame on My Memories
Suite, created a svg file from it, and will use to insert a photo of
baby into. The bottle can be used as is, or for journaling.
Now the last picture is of the mini-album put
together. I apologize that the face is not stamped on or the hair bow
is placed. You can see the stamped face on Page One, using a acrylic
stamp I purchased from
http://www.peachykeenstamps.com...a baby face with a pacifier in her mouth. And the hair curl and hair ribbon bow has been placed.
Whew...this is one long-windy blog but I hope you enjoy this as much as I have been enjoying creating this Baby Girl Mini-Album. Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.
