Hi, Carolyn here with Monday's die cuts and I am sharing with you a die cut I just recently purchased from Stampin! Up; but first my TIP: a great die cut for your left over stash of paper and cards.

• Card base Old Olive from Stampin! Up
• Design paper "Santa's Journey" - 2-sided paper variety pack by 7gyPsies
• Memento Tuxedo Black ink
• Stampin! Up - retired set "Sidekicks Sayings"
• Sizzix Big Shot die cut/embossing
• Die cut Thinlits - Label Card (#133479) from Stampin! Up

This die cuts a card base, unfolded, 6x5 1/2" but when folded, measures 4.25x5.50 inches.  When I ran the card base die thru my Big Shot, I felt like it was going to break the acrylic pads so I wouldn't advise using a ebosser machine if you have one.  The included dies I did not have a problem with, but only used the label die cut though.

Let it Snow Blog Hop - Dec 7th.

Let It Snow

Time for a hop and theme is Let It Snow.  My presentation for this hop is Rudolph the Red-nose Reindeer with tree lights along the border.  The border is snow with the string of lights along the top edge.

Stamping Dragon Designs

I'm a bit late with posting this to my blog.  I had the project finished and posted to Stamping with the Dragon ....

Supplies used:

• Papers from files from Stamping Dragon Designs 
• The ribbon bow file from CraftArtist files
• Christmas sentiment chipboard from my stash
• Post-a-Note cover file from my design team member days with http://dtsartblog.blogspot.com/
• Small box file from svgcuts

Also, if you are a member of Stamping School, Linda has a recent tutorial video on how to create a post-a-note cover, which I combined her information with the cutfile and created a cover. 

With both items, I cut out the file using poster board first, and than printed the paper onto my special digital paper and using Freezer paper, I ironed the designer paper to the shiny, wax side of the freezer paper and created scrapbook paper.  Glued the pieces together and have a box and a post-a-note cover for Christmas gifts.

Cocoa Mug BAP from Creative Kuts

 

Cocoa Mug BAP

Tis the time of year for a nice cuppa of hot cocoa and this is a mug that will hold one pack of hot cocoa to send or give to a friend or family member that loves hot cocoa.  

The mug is one piece that has tabs on each end that you fold in to create a pocket when glued to back piece..  The checkered piece is what I created by cutting the main piece two times, and than trimmed off the ends that are glued together and placed on the front of the cup.  I created the sentiment using my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition; and than hand printed the faux stitching.  Cut out two snowflakes to place on the mug and added a gemstone to the sentiment.  The marshmellows cut in a threes and one single one to layered on top; plus a stick of candy or straw (don't know which) and layered in between the two pieces.  Yummy cocoa!

Wild Fall Poppy

Supplies used:

• Cardstock for base and layer one from Stampin! Up
• Grosgrain ribbon (Navy) from Stampin! Up
• Image from A Day for Daisies 
• Gemstones from my stash
• Sentiment - from stamp set Express Yourself by Stampin! Up
• Spectrum Noir used for coloring
• Polka-dot embossing folder

I viewed the video by GinaK Designs, and than created the above - simple and easy to create.  In fact, I made up about 10 of the embossed folders.  First I selected the Polka-dot embossing folder, and using my brayer I colored the inside of the embossing folder using the top section, one with the company's name printed on the top edge; using a blue ink pad, I ran the brayer over and over until I got the roller covered with ink.  Than applied to the embossing folder and once I got what I hope to achieve, I placed a white cardstock (4.25x5.50") thru the Big Shot. 

Layered the embossed mat onto navy cardstock, and layered all onto blue cardstock from my stash. I printed out the digi image, and colored it.  Stamped the sentiment and trimmed to size (will use a smaller sentiment next time!).
