Stitching - Faux or Real -

Hi, Carolyn here with today's challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge and I would like to share with you my card:

Supplies I used:
  • White card stock for base and one layer mat
  • Kraft card stock for one layer mat
  • Heart punch
  • Ribbon
  • Ribbon Threader punch
  • adhesive
  • white and black gel pen for faux stitching
  • small pieces of scrap card stock and design paper
  • Round corner punch

I layered the  Bear With Balloons on what I hope looks like a quilt with faux stitching on the navy blue card stock.  I used Copic and Stampin! Up markers for coloring; and a blender pen to create the plaid look on the 2 balloons.

I used my Ribbon Threader punch for the edge of the Kraft cardstock; and corner round the right corners to match the card base.  Threaded navy blue ribbon and adhered to the white card base.

I did not place a sentiment for card; will stamp later when needed.

Stop on over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge  at Team A's inspirational work for this challenge and join us in the fun.  Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs to all xoxo.

Carolyn - It does look like a quilt background to me! I love the colors and particularly love your stitching.

Oh Carolyn, the background really does look like a quilt....just like the sidebars of your blog! :) Love how you colored that little bear too...he's so sweet.

The stitching effect is fab and works so well with your background allowing the cute bear image to pop out.

Thanks for taking part in the Stamping with the Dragon 'Anything Goes' Challenge

Cute, cute, cute Carolyn! The image you used is just so precious and your faux stitching looks great. Super way to do ribbon - I need to try that! Hope you are staying warm and dry - here in South Alabama we froze this week! Hugz!
