Scrapbook Blessings Club Tutorial Challenge #5

Sunburst Card

Items need to create this card:
  • cardstock : 4.25x5.5 for base
  • For Sunburst pieces: 1.5x4 per piece (I used 9 pieces - 7 design paper, 2 cardstock)
  • Mating for the Sunburst pieces: 5x2.5
  • washi tape for trimming
  • Flower stamped and than punched with a 1 3/8 circle punch
  • Scalloped punch for layering
  • thank you stamp from Teeny Words by Stampin Up
  • paper trimmer
  • Glue stick by xyron
  • adhesive of your choice
Now here is my second Sunburst design:

In my spare time (*lol*) I am creating a mini-album for my 13 year granddaughter, from birth to 13 and I used the Sunburst technique on one page.  She plays clarinet in Middle School Band and enjoys it - she loves music (a big Selena Gomez fan).  I cut out the sunburst pieces with my trimmer after I embossed the card stock with a new embossing folder from Sizzix that has music notes and/or the music lines.  I went according to the instructions of the video (you will find it at Scrapbook Blessings Club as our challenge for the next 2 weeks), and created this page for her mini-album.

The first photo shows both pages, and the 2nd photo is the page I used the Sunburst technique on.  Plus I placed gemstones on the punch out edge trim at bottom of page; and with my Silhouette Cameo I created a print and cut sentiment and placed in the corner on foam tape as it needed some embellishment.  The 2nd page I created the music notes with my Cameo, and placed foam tape on backside and layered on the page.

Please join us at Scrapbook Blessings Club for Challenge #5 which runs two weeks.  Also join us at our Facebook page Scrapbook Blessings Club Facebook Fan page where you can join in games and fun activities.

Thank you for stopping by to visiting with us, and hugs to all xoxo.
