My completed anniversary card

This is separate work from what I am designing for http://www.DtsArts.com

They’re anniversary cards for my granddaughter and for my son and daughter-in-law, which will be late in mailing!!

Ok, program is not cooperating too well, so will start here.  The 2nd pic shows that it is a Gate-fold card.  I printed out the digital from my printer and used Kooh-I-Noor Woodless Colour Pencils to color in the image.  The circle element was created using my SCAL2 software…there is a flower cutout with a brad inserted in the middle which was attached to a scalloped circle and this element is used to keep the gate closed.  The two panels is white cardstock and shaving cream technique found on www.stamptv.com by GinaK Designs.  Put about 3 dots of re-inkers onto the shaving cream that is sprayed in a paper plate and mix thoroughly.  I used Stampin Up re-inkers but don’t remember the combo…I just grabbed what I had and mixed the amounts of drops in shaving cream, coming up with a light green marble effect which matched my cardstock.

Inside of card, on the two side panels I stamped a tulip flower in a pot from a retired set by www.stampinup.com which is a retired set … Simple Florals is the name.  Using same pencils as above, I colored in the image.

The middle panel is one I found on a website that offered free verses for anniversaries, birthdays, etc.  I selected the one I liked printed out and cut to size and the corners punched ….  Now to send them off tomorrow!

Cardstock used for this card is from Colorbok … a pad of 12x12 cardstock …smooth textured card by www.colorbok.com and sold at the local Wal-mart stores.

This should take care of it….hope I explain clearly enough, giving description and credit where it’s due.  Thank you for allowing me to share my creations.

He Is Risen digital freebie

I was playing around in the Inkscape program with drawing in pencil, and other tools and drew, free hand, this digital.  I hope it looks like a rock that was used to cover the tomb.  And the font was downloaded from ScrapNfonts.com …a freebie that they’re offering.

He Is Risen tombstone

Freebie has been disabled ....I apologize...not a very good digital or design.

It’s a goofy looking stone to row away from the tomb entrance, but it’s just a creation… and may-be not a professional one, but I done it myself!!

I will either post a freebie file tomorrow or a digital that I created myself when I was ‘playing around’ in Inkscape this evening.

Let me know if you like them.  Thank you.

Thank you

Thank you, thank you to you followers of my blog…I made 30…just never expected this at all.   Give me a couple days and I will have a freebie up for a thank you gift to you all.  Smile Smile Smile

Funky Frame Butterfly

I am sharing this Funky Frame Butterfly.zip with you today.

Hopefully the photo will be clearer….
FunkyFrameButterfly_04

Ok, all the watermark options I have haven’t been working too well, so I went into my Abode Photoshop Elements program and created my own!  I’m fairly new at the watermarking, and if anyone has suggestions, please advise me.

Thank you for allowing me to share this with you all.  Have a beautiful day wherever you are, and hopefully your weather is bright and sunny.

Another sample of Easter Cards

Here is another sample of Easter Cards that I finished….

IMG_0001IMG_0002

Decided not to be so elaborate…just a basic card to send. Outside has three brads on the lower left side corner with a element with Happy Easter printed.. One element is embossed with a embossing folder using my Cuddlebug; and the other side is a technique using shaving cream and re-inkers that I learned on   GinaK's Design StampTV. If you click on the link, check the side bar for shaving cream technique. Inside card I created a digital and colored in the cross and flower with my Woodless Colour Pencils by Koh-I-Noor that I purchased at Hobby Lobby over a year ago and use them for my pencil coloring.

Collage of Carson…great-grandson

These are a few pictures I created into a collage using Microsoft Research AutoCollage 2008, 30 day version.  I am looking at purchasing it latter part of this month….lot easier to create collage than Abode Photoshop Elements 7.

My next two cards

These are the next cards I am working on…one for a birthday card which I hope to have finish this week (birthday is today!) and a very belated anniversary card for my granddaughter and hubby.  I don’t push myself in my the creation of my cards and consequently they are late.  After this will be a guy birthday card, and than Mother Day’s cards. On and on, birthday cards or Father Day's cards, etc.  I am hoping to begin work on my Christmas cards which I will make  in the standard 4.25 x 5.50 size…the card I mailed to my sister in Illinois back in December, 2010 was returned to me, today, for .20 cents more postage…4 months later.  Wonder where it had been sitting …in Fort Riley, Kansas post office for so long.  Smile with tongue out  A 4x4 envelope requires .65 postage!  Post office extremely hard up for money. Open-mouthed smile

Also I create my own envelopes from card stock for the cards I make…and here are pics as well.  Now, I had to tweak these so the upper flap will fit properly over the bottom flap like they should for mailing purposes.  Handing to the recipitant can be tucked under … not glued to the bottom flap.

Beginning of cards:

On image 1 and 2 I used the Shaving Cream technique (StampTV video) using re-inkers (don’t remember the color combination) and image 3 used the Shaving Cream technique plus I embossed the cardstock using the CuddleBug and polka-dot embossing folder.  The image is a digital downloaded to my files.

Here are the envelopes:

The photo does not do justice to the color of the envelopes … it is a lavender color with scalloped edge.

IMG_0002

These are white and will be used for regular mailing of birthday cards, etc.  Once Christmas comes around, I will probably decorate the envelopes some way.  I will also try cutting these out using a sketch pad that I found at Family Dollar…  If it wasn’t for the fact that a stamp catalog company sells this same item I would list it on Etsy.com…but do not need the legal problems.

I created/cut these envelopes using my Cricut Expression even though I do not agree with Provo Craft’s business practices/ethics I can not go out and purchase a new cutter.  I will use the Expression until it quits on me!

Thank you for looking at my creations.

Two more card projects

Hope all are having a beautiful day as we’re having here in Alabama…slightly warmer day,  but windy so not able to sit on patio and read!

I am working on two more cards…a birthday and a anniversary cards, both of which will be late in mailing out.  Spent the morning cutting out envelopes for the Easter Cards…I’m so happy to have the Expression to cut out these big projects that a Cricut Personal did not or could but lose a lot of the sizing.  Right now I am looking for single line fonts and will be checking out Cri-Kits website…unless someone knows of a blogger who has designed a freebie.  I seem to recall a blogger that done ‘em and downloaded them, but don’t know what the name was of the font.

I will be posting the pics of next two cards as I get them finished.  Than I have a birthday card to make for my son-in-law, and than Mother Day cards.  And finish the scrapbook pages for my granddaughters scrapbook and than decide what the next page theme will be.

Finished Easter Card

TGIF…and another gloomy day.  Mail’s out in the mailbox, shower done, and laundry is now going and I will post the pics of the finished Easter Card that will be sent to family later this month.

I used everything from watercoloring the Iris on front, to using my Cri-Kit Gel Pens for Happy Easter and the name plate is a file from Penny Duncan Creations.

I printed out the sentiment on the inside and stamped the Iris flower along the one edge, and than sponged ink color along the edges.  I hope family likes it  Smile

Here is the pic of my work…
