Go Fetch (No Cards Allowed)

Another challenge for the Challenge Team over at The Stamping Chef where we create a project That is Not a Card.  I chose the image Go Fetch for my presentation for this 2 weeks challenge.  I colored the image with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers, and placed on a mat that I cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a created Antique Cabinet design.  I had dog bones in my Studio file, open up the file and created a border of bones, plus enlarged 2 bones to place on each photo.  The bottom border created using paw prints and than I ripped the sheet where I wanted and placed on the layout.  Another cut of the bone was done with the print and cut feature in Studio DE, printing Bella's name on the bone and than cut it out in the shape of a bone.

This can be placed in a scrapbook or, as I am hoping to, frame in a 12x12 cheap frame and sent to my family in Korea as Bella's their dog and we are dog-sitting for the next 1 1/2 years.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and please join us at The Stamping Chef for the Challenge and have fun while doing so.  Hugs to all

CU Sophie Digi Stamp Presentation.

For my scheduled presentation this month, I chose CU Sophie Digi Stamp as Christmas cards.

First card I created a street lamp and placed Sophie under the light, singing Christmas Carols.  Created snow at the base/feet of the images  And using Ice Stickles Crystal Ice along the top of lamp post and and along the snow bank to give illusion of ice.

Second card I just received an new Spellbinders Nestabilities called Floral Ovals and cut out with my Big Shots the big oval.  Hand-cut Sophie and placed in the center of the oval die cut.  The mat I embossed using my Swiss Dot embossing folder after I added white to the blue cards stock and placed on the card.  Each card I placed small gem stones for falling snow.  And attached a bow to the second card.

And, until the end of July you may use this coupon for your order at Scrappers Delights Store

Thank you for stopping by for a look see at my creations, and hugs to all.

July's projects for Cutting Edge Designs

Good morning all.  I have three projects to present to your for Cutting Edge Designs this month.  I've been busy with scrapbook pages, both for my grandson and for granddaughters.

First is the 3rd page for my grandson's Senior mini-album that I am creating for D.J. as he graduated from high school a few weeks ago, and will be going ton to Purdue University.

Files used:  Goalpost and footballs from Creative Pointe under Cindy Pointe on sidebar of the store main page.  Title, grass and flags from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Design paper from my stash of collection.  And the base is from Colobox paper pad that I purchased at Wal-mart.

My two granddaughters, Alexis and Kassidy presently live in Korea with their Mom and Dad (Dad's in the U.S. Army), and they love to go out for ice cream or treats like a coke.  This is Kassidy with her cross-eye-ing for the camera and it's soooo cute.  I used the following files:

You're So Sweet title and the Banana split from Creative Kuts
Ice cream cones from My Scrap Chick
Border is construction paper
Base paper from a stash I have on hand.

The title and ice cream cones from My Scrap Chick
Card stock from a stash that I purchased at Joann Fabrics.
The top border and base paper construction paper.

All pieces on the three projects cut out with my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all xoxo.

Things with wings - Fairies, butterflies, birds

Good morning all.  It is time for another challenge at Platypus Creek Digitals and out theme for this 2 week challenge is "Things with Wings - Fairies, butterflies, birds".  I chose butterflies as they are one of my favorites next to birds.

Using the image, Ulysses Butterfly from Platypus Creek Digitals I created a Waterfall card for this presentation.  My cardstock from my personal stash, and the design paper is from a pack called Colorbox Designer Paper - Hootenany (comes in a pad of 50 sheets of 2 designs each).

I used black card stock as a mat on top of beige colored card base and design paper.  The 2x2 squares are from the same pad of design papers.  The butterflies, originally a png image, I brought into my SCAL3 software and traced it so I would have a svg file.  Than I created a shadow for each butterfly and placed the butterfly on the waterfall, using foam tape on the first.  I placed butterflies on the side of the card for decorative purposes.  Two brads used for the strip of card stock across the front of the card that the waterfall slides through.  An a eyelet placed in the center, at bottom with a black and white checkered ribbon inserted to use to pull the waterfall down.

Come on over to Platypus Creek Digitals and join in with us in this challenge. I have a sad announcement to make here regarding Platypus Creek Digitals challenges.  Due to Tracey's busy, busy schedule, she is closing out the challenges with this Things with Wings Challenge.  I am sad to see her leave, but completely understand why she is closing out the challenges.  Life can be so busy and things you love to work on put on the back burner, so to speak.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Free Style Blog Hop - July 17th

Good morning from Alabama.  I have a project here that I love.  I will be installing some picture hangers on the back of the frames and hang on the wall in my room.

This is Holly Hobbie Set 1 and Holly Hobbie Set 2 from Scrappers Delights Store and I love Holly Hobbie and will get Set 3 and 4 to add to the collection to hang on the wall.

I watercolored the images with my Stampin Up ink makers, using a brush to color in the images.  I used acrylic water paper to print the image ont.  The frames are from canvas covered frames that I had on had..just removed the canvas, and stained the frames with Oak stain.  I wanted a light color.  Once I put together, I felt that the frames needed some 'help' so I used my hot glue gun and glued these hand-made flowers to each corner of the frames.

When I created this project again, I will make my own frames using poster board and pad them and decorate.

Base card is gray
Layered with black mat with about half of a design paper from Creatief Papierblok, with a strip of black and white polka dot wash tape laid across the top of design paper.
Stamped sentiment onto off-white card stock and used the Sizzix Big Shot I punch out the imprinted tag, placed brads at the points and foam taped the tag to the card.

Spectrum Noir markers used for coloring, along with Cool Gray from my Copic collection and a gray from Stampin Up.  Brads by Stampin Up.

Crockpot BBQ Ribs

I started this recipe card over six weeks ago and than went on vacation and it was filed away to complete later.  Later came and I finished it this evening.

I will let you all in on a secret ... I spent a little time of putting the pieces of the cow and pig together using my Silhouette Studio DE and than grouped it all together and print and cut the whole image, rather than cutting out each individual piece and glue-ing together.  I re-size about three times to get the size I wanted but I am satisfied with the results.  Oh yes, I have tried this recipe and it is great.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Last weeks BAP - a TP (Toilet Paper) Card

This card is soooo cute.  I made two of them just in case I needed a card to send to someone who is 'under the weather'.

Here is the first set us TP card:

This is the front of the TP card.  In my Silhouette Studio DE software, I placed the eyes, nose and mouth on the front piece of the TP card and print and cut it out.  I had drawn the eyelashes.  The sentiment, "Squeezable Soft" and "Always by your Side" print and cut and shadow piece created and than placed on the card.

Here is the inside of the card (set 1):

As you can see I used polka dot design paper for the inside, and placed the 2nd sentiment "Feeling Flushed?" in the inside.  All card stock is from my stash.

Here is the 2nd set of the same TP card:

I used gray card stock, stamped a face from my Peachy Keen Face stamp collection, but I embossed the toilet paper after stamping the image.  Using the same sentiments, I placed the 'squeezable soft" on the right side hoping to cover up a mistake I made.  Next is the inside of this card:

The design paper has clouds on which comes close to one of the toilet paper brands!  For mailing purposes, you could leave it as is and use a greeting card envelope that is size 5.75x8.75 inches or fold in the left end to create a tri-fold card.

This cut file set will be available in the store at Creative Kuts soon.  As always, thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hugs to all.

Christmas in July Challege at Platypus Creek Digitals

Christmas in July...already thinking about Christmas cards here in July which is actually five months away.  Here is a card I created for the DT presentation over at Platypus Creek Digitals...

Name of this digital image is Hannah's Snowman, and is a cute image.  I open the jpeg file into my Silhouette Studio DE, traced and print and cut the image.  The blue and white polka dot background is a scrapbook page I downloaded from a website, and I used a piece of white cardstock with the top edge torn with a decorative edge ruler to hopefully give it a look of a snowbank.

The puppy dog was stamped with a acrylic stamp I had on had along with the sentiment - they're from the same set.  I colored the hat, carrot nose, scarf and arms with Copic markers.  The dog and scarf is colored with Stampin Up markers.

I added some clear gemstones as snow flakes on the blue background.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and hugs to all.

My new Rose bush

This is not crafting but I wanted to share (brag) with you all about the new Rose bush we bought and planted this past 2 weeks.  It is a Queen Elizabeth rose bush, and has lovely pink flowers.  I believe I am going to love this bush.  The 2nd bush has not put forth any flowers yet, but the buds are there.

Thank you for letting me share with you, and hugs to all.

A monthly Free File to Share

https://www.box.com/s/yjzyiglmfqpkqmtemnqh

I will be offering free files on a monthly basis, usually the first weekend of each month.  July's first free file will be a set of frames/mats which can be used as a mat or a frame.  They can be resized to your specifications.  They come in svg and mtc cutting formats only along with jpeg and png if you wish to print and cut.

I corrected the download link.  Please click on the image for the download.  I apologize for this.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me.  And hugs to all.

A new release at The Stamping Chef

This is one of two new releases for July 5th, and I apologize for being late in posting this, but due to a weather change that has affected my arthritis in my back and the 4th of July fire works going off across the street that left my sons' dog very, very nervous, I was not able to complete this until today.

I brought the image into my Silhouette Studio DE software, traced and print and cut with a little white border around the image.  I colored the image with my Copic markers.  I downloaded the free background paper from a website and ran it through the embossing machine using the swiss dot embossing folder.  The design paper was part of a goodie packet I had received, and cut it where the bird is on the right side of the image.  I used a stamp of small flowers and stamped three times and colored in with my Stampin Up markers.  And stamped 'Hello" in the corner and placed two gemstones next to sentiment.  Layered all the paper and placed on the card, and noticed that I placed the whole thing on wrong side of the card, so cut the first card stock with image and mats, and trimmed it and glued to another card stock to correct my mistake!  LOL.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me; and please go to the Store to see what Tamara has available.
These two new releases are available for past weekend only at 20% discount.

Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop

Celebrate Freedom Blog Hop

Sometimes we take our freedom for granted and we should remember that we should not.  And also, we should thank our service men and women all over the world for the sacrifices they make for the freedoms we so enjoy.  I know I complain a lot about issues going on with our government and etc but if it was not for the men and women who serve in ALL branches of our military to protect and ensure that we enjoy the freedoms we do have, we could end up living a country that does not enjoy those freedoms.  So thank you to all the service men and women (and to my son who is serving in the U.S. Army and has been to Iraq twice) for all you do for us.

So to commemorate the Fourth of July a group of us crafters got together to show off our Red, White and Blue colors. I have created a card and a scrapbook layout for this Hop and without further ado, I would like to display them for you.

The heart was cut out of the center of the base and than the Stars and Stripes glued to a heart to represent our flag and country.  I cut the heart with stars and stripes with my Silhouette Cameo along with the heart background.  The sentiment "Proud to Be" was print and cut and placed on a shadowed background and added foam tape to give it some dimension.  Added red gems to the card front ... a simple, basic card that will be donated to Operation Write Home to send to the deployed service men/women.

Using the same theme as the card, I created a scrap page layout.  While on vacation I purchased the paper punch by Martha Stewart and created this doiley and placed the Stars and Stripes Heart in the center.  This, in turn, was placed on a red mat and I create small banners at the bottom of the mat.  Placed red polka dot buttons spaced in between the banners.  I print and cut the sentiment "Proud to Be", after offsetting the font to create a background.  Cut out a small mat for a photo with two buttons attached to the one corner.

For the Men/Boys Blog Challenge

For my first project as a new member of the design team A, here is the card I worked up.

While on vacation, I went shopping at a Joann Fabrics near where my step-daughter lives and purchased this punch a circle by Martha Stewart and created a 6x6 doily for this card. This punch is useful for layouts and cards, I'm glad I purchased it; and purchased another design punch from amazon.com.  I also punched the scalloped circle with my Big Shots die cutter, and the image was cut out with a thin die cutter.

I punched a 6x6 circle and folded in half, and placed the doily on the front half, creating a circle card (which you can barely see!! :-) ).

I colored in the image using my KOH-I-NOOR coloring pencils,

# 088 Brown
#488 Navy Blue
Copic marker # E000 Pale Fruit Pink for the skin tone.
Butterflies colored with yellow and black pencils

Sentiment Hello was stamped with Stampin! Up Not Quite Navy.  I added some gemstones to give it some pop.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Amelia-School-Girl

sdjpc-Amelia-School-Girl

This cute image is created by Scrappers Delights Paper Crafts, and will be available in the store July 5th,  Please click the image and will direct you to the store for purchasing.

Now to my project.  Once I seen this image, I immediately thought of the cut file, School Rocks which is part of a scrapbook layout.  I uploaded the file into Silhouette Studio DE, and used the lock and school books as a background setting for the mat.  I print and cut Amelia, than used Stampin! Up markers.  Layered the finished mat onto Kraft cardstock.  The sentiments I created and printed using my Silhouette Studio DE and than used my Word Punch from Stampin! Up.  And for added pop, a gemstone was added to the lock.

Chocolate Chip for the shoes
Close to Cocoa for the bottom of the shoes
Not Quite Navy for the skirt, socks, and collar and tie
Yoyo Yellow for the stripes
Copic Mark #E74 Cocoa Brown for the hair
The hair bow colored with red from my stash of markers as well as the pennant.

Another 2-page layout of Grandson's Senior Album

Another 2-page layout (8.5x11) of my Grandson's Senior year scrapbook.

Title on above page I created using the Apple Boy BTN font.  Football cut file from Football Set which also includes the goal post on the 2nd page layout.

The title and flag are from a set by (better mention this as I got into trouble with !them!) misskatecuttables.com.  Nice set and easy to cut out.

I set the two pages together for a final view of the layout.  Hope you like this as much as I do.  Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.
