Christmas Gift Card Holder
It has been a productive morning, and now it's time for a little rest but will post what I worked up, as a member of the design team for DoodleTalesBlog. The card was inspired from watching a new video at Stamping School by Linda Heller.
Two pictures taken of the front...where I used Stamps MCH018 ... versamarked on the front of the card base and than heat embossed using clear embossing powder. MCH005 was versamarked on white cardstock, embossed in Garnet embossing powder and than heated. The circle was placed on a scalloped circle and placed on a band that wraps around the card.
This picture shows the inside of the card...I used design paper over the front, and you will find a scapolled edge along the bottom to the flap.
Inside is a folded A2 enveloped glued to the center of card base...there is two sections ... one for the gift card, and another for the greeting.
I cut out a rounded tab label and glued to the top edge of the card that the greeting and signature will be placed on.
If interested in obtaining these little cute stamps, go to: Doodletales.etsy.com, and go visit his blog to see other design team members work.... DoodleTalesBlog.
Thank you for visiting with me today, and back tomorrow with another Nativity silhouette free file. Hugs to all.

GMC-Three Magi-Kings Silhouette
As you will note .... I was attempting to spread out the silhouettes this week to go thru the whole week, but not possible. My free file for today is a silhouette of the Three Wisemen .... according to Matthew 2:1-12, three Wisemen 'saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh." Matthew 2:10-11. (I apologize for offending anyone with quoting Bible verses here, but I am hoping to make this clear to everyone.) Now that said... here is a pic of the free silhouette file.

(Nativity) Star
I am posting a freebie along with a pic of how the Star was used in the Christmas Card...and I know I had stated that tomorrow would be the start of the Nativity silhouettes, but I will begin those freebies on Saturday...just wanted to share the card and a freebie with you all...
This is called a Christmas 3-D Pop-up card...I placed a piece of red cardstock with a trim of striped paper on the top of the front of the card. Than placed another rectangle piece of designer paper with a sentiment placed as a label with the edges colored in Real Red from Stampin! Up© .... Paper and cardstock used from a Wal-mart collection.
Front of Card

Inside of card
On the inside I created a template where the pop-ups for the stars would be set. I used stars cut out with my Cricut Expression and glued them in the center above Santa and to each side. Santa is from a set of stickers I purchased at Wal-mart and will be planning to fight the crowds today to purchase a couple more sets. Placed a white cardstock on the corner for the sentiment, message or just the signature.
And now to the free file...a set of stars that you can use for your creating....
Thank you for visiting today, on Black Friday...hope all enjoy shopping (we're getting up early to go to J.C. Penney's and K-mart for the early sales, and than breakfast and than to Wal-mart.) ! And 30 days from today will be Christmas ... :-). Hugs to all and be safe.

Wishing u all a Happy Thanksgiving Day
Happy Thanksgiving Day to all....it's a beautiful day here with the sun shining and temps in the 50's. We have our turkey with stuffing in the oven now and eggs are cooling so I can make up deviled eggs. Going to look up a recipe for green beans casserole w/out the dried onions on top! Went grocery shopping yesterday and that is one item I did not get....after dr's visit I was ready to get the rest of my errands done and get home...shopping with crowds not my thing. And I have to face the crowds tomorrow just to pick up prescriptions...bah, humbug!!
I am working on Nativity silhouettes that I will be posting as freebies, starting tomorrow...stayed tuned til then. Happy Turkey day (or ham day if you're eating ham) ... have a blessed day and be careful this weekend out there on the roads especially tomorrow with all the shoppers out. Hugs to all.

Christmas Cards
For the past two days or so I have been working on Christmas cards as well as files for Smart Buy Gal store where I have a few files listed. I am planning to upload some Nativity files this week...check the store out. Right now this is the format she is using until she can get a store up and running...she experienced some problems a few months ago with hacking and had to shut that part of store down.
Now onto my Christmas card and freebie...thanks to Scrapbook Showgram with Sandi Genovese and her awesome idea for Christmas cards to make up in a mass production especially if you have loads of cards to mail out this week. I am using two of her ideas for my cards but the one is not ready for posting...have to make a trip to the scrapbook store to purchase the adhesive strips I need...lol
Here is the supply list that Sandi used, but the brads I used are silver, and I added a ribbon, using my Bow Easy tool.
Here’s a list of supplies that Sandi uses in making this EMBOSSED HOLIDAY CARDS:
On the inside of the card, opening the doors, you will find a reindeer and a snowflake, stickers I found at the local Wal-mart. I used a snowflake stamp and watermarked the red cardstock in different areas. I have not put a sentiment inside yet...that will come b/4 I mail the cards.
I am sharing with you the Happy Holiday Wreath... I changed mine...rather than have my Cricut cut out the holes I used my hand punch to punch the holes and than created a ribbon bow and glue dot it to the bottom of the wreath.

Rudolf Reindeer
Good morning peeps. I have done a miracle ... hee, hee. I completely forgot that I was to create and post the Christmas Rudolf Reindeer for DtsArtBlog this week ... so I quickly brought up the svg file, cut and pasted and added glitter where I wanted. This cut file arrived in my box at the right time as I am working on Christmas cards and gift card holders for family and grandchildren....
I used an idea from Linda at Stamping School using an envelope.... gluing the envelope shut, turn it landscape side and cut the end off. You can than punch a scalloped edge or leave as is and decorate the front of the envelope. Cut the inside card so it will insert inside the envelope easily...decorate that and than glue dot a gift card onto that. Actually, if you're a member of Stamping School, go to Stamping School, sign in and click on current videos. It will be Gift-A-Lope video for November 10, 2011...she has an excellent video of how to create this project.
The batteries went dead on my camera so was not able to take pics of inside of card or gift envelope. The second gift card is a general card using the same design as the first, but the envelope was cut down to size of a gift card (using my bank card as a template to make sure I got the correct size) decorated it, and glue it to the inside of the card. Here are the front of the pics...
This envelope gift card holder I stickled around the antlers, and glued glitter on the nose and the bells. Also created snow mounds and stickled them.
Because I wanted to changed just a tad-bit, I did not glitter the bells but did stickle the snow mounds, and glittered the nose. Fun little project, and my granddaughter should get a kick out of 'em...
Please check out the following team members for their creations....

Or check out Dardi's blog at DtsArtblog to follow the team members of SVG A and B team plus the Digi Teams. And if you're interested in the cut file, it can be obtained at DtsArtblog.
Thank you for stopping by, and later today I will have a freebie to share with you. After working on this project on Tuesday, and a a stressful day with family matters, I will read and relax this evening. Hugs to all.

Happy Thursday
Tomorrow is Veteran's Day here in the U.S.A. and would like to thank ALL our Vets for their service to/for our country...for fighting for our rights for our freedom...for the small things we take for granted, but they're there to protect us and fight so we can be safe and enjoy our freedom. As you all know and probably see the pic of my son with his two girls coming home from his 2nd deployment in Iraq last March, 2011 ... that he is serving in the U.S. Army. He and and his family will be moving to Korea for 2-3 years of service there with the U.S. Army in April, 2012...will be there until he is finished in 2014.
I am so thankful that he will be with his family during this deployment...and not serving in war-torn Afghanistan for nine months.
My two freebies today can be used for a page in a Military scrapbook ... either for Veteran's Day or for the 4th of July... and also for Memorial Day in May. So many uses for the two images. Actually couldn't come up with a guy/gal in present day Military dress....so I went with the Liberty Bell and flag out of a heart.
Click here for the svg and mtc file.
Thank you for stopping by and please take a moment in your day to send a prayer up for all Military personnel ... both past and present... Love u guys and gals, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you're doing for our freedom. Now I'm off my band wagon....lol
As always, hugs to all.

The Princess Wand is my creation using Inkscape 0.48 and cut out with SCAL.

Three Pumpkins on Unicycle Note Stationary
As a designer for Doodle Tales I got to thinking about my next design using the Three Pumpkins on a Unicycle and just finished up creating NoteCard Box Holders and thought that creating sheets of stationary to go with would be a great project. So started up Inkscape 0.48 and used the Bezier tool and drew the lines in for the sheet and than saved it as a png file, printed it out, trimmed down to correct size and than, as you will see in the next two pics, I stamped each sheet, colored one (will not use the colored pencils by Koh-I-NOR...just doesn't do a smooth job) and done one sheet without coloring in. You can use any stamps or digis for the stationary...
