Spring Time Girl and Clowns

I print than cut the following images using my Cricut Explore....

This image is from the Spring Time ChooChoo Train Kit for May from Creative Kuts.  I first placed each piece together, using Make the Cut software and exported as a jpeg file.  Converted to png format in paint.net and than loaded into Cricut Design Space and print than cut.  I will be posting the final layout of Spring Time layout in another day or so.

I created this image from Scrappy Dew's Clown Set.  I am planning to use in a Circus Mini-album later.

And this is pictures I took today of two pin oak trees that we planted a couple years ago and now have gotten taller; and a picture of a flower garden that I have named after my granddaughter's, the Alexis and Kassidy Flower Garden...

That's it for today, so will close out saying .... thank you for stopping by to visit with me and hope your day is full of crafting.

HomeMade Saturday - Raggedy Ann 25"

Hi all, I am here to share with you a sewing project I've been working on for a month to six weeks.  About two years or slightly more my niece asked me if I would make another Raggedy Ann doll for her oldest daughter, Julisa as she applied make-up to her 15" doll and didn't like the doll....

So I decided to make a 25" doll for replacement and here is pics of the doll....

Doll w/out her hair

Finished project.

and the tag:

Ragdolls by Scrappy Dew.com .  Printed and cut using my Silhouette Cameo and Studio DE software.  Actually, I loaded file into my Make the Cut software, put all the pieces together to form the Raggedy and saved as a png file so I could print and cut (or if I prefer, print than cut on the Cricut Explore.)

Using Inkscape and Studio DE I created a little tag as a card, so my sister and I could sign the inside.  I know there will be a happy 10 year receiving this doll by the end of this week.  And I will be cutting and sewing together another 25" Raggedy Ann doll for her 3 yr old sister.

Thank you for visiting with me and happy crafting.  Enjoy spring wherever you are and be safe.

Family

Good morning and hope your Saturday will be a great one for you...

Today's posting is a Mini-photo/Journal Album I am creating for my granddaughter and family and utilized the image from Scrapping With Lisa Designs

http://www.scrappingwithlisadesigns.com/images/large/Family1053x745.png

And here is my project:

Basically this will be a Journal/Photo Album of the great-grandkids.  I've included a baby from another file in this project as my granddaughter is expecting a baby girl on July 4, 2015.  Don't want to leave out the baby.

The edges of front cover not covered (not sure I will cover it with washi tape or paper) because I have not completed the inside of the cover.  The pages will include birth, birthdays, holidays and there will be pages or tags for journaling.

Cardstock and design paper from my Stampin! Up stash, the hearts came with a card kit and ribbon a gift from a friend in Canada.  I used Prismacolours and Bic Markers for coloring along with one Copic marker for the skin coloring.  It will be bound using The Cinch from We R Memory Keepers.

Thank you for taking time to visit with me and may you have a blessed day.

Challenge #52 - Spring Theme

Spring has sprung and brings the golfers out to play.  Son-in-law has birthday this month, and he occasionally goes to play golf so created a 'bendy-card' for him.  Here is the file that was used to create this card;

I used the golf cart, golf bag and where you swing the ball to from this file; and here is my card...

I purchased the Silhouette Studio cut file for the bendy card envelope set sloped design by Samantha Walker. And it wasn't too bad to cut out and design.  All cardstock from my personal stash.  The golf bag is actually print and cut using my Silhouette Studio DE and the rest cut out with my Cameo.  I did create a button/flair with my son-in-law's age and placed in the corner.

The sentiment 'happy birthday' was stamped using my newest tool. MISTI - a stamp alignment tool by My Sweet Petunia - a life saver for me.

DSC_0484

and if the ink comes out blotchy or light, without moving the card or stamp you can re-stamp until you are satisfied.  I love this little tool and will be using it more.  I am planning to convert my wood-mounted stamps down to the cushioned stamp and placing on EZ Mount foam and than presto, I have acrylic type stamp to use.  Hopefully less storage as well.

Thank you for stopping by and visiting with me today, and head on over to Creative Cutting Challenges and play along with us in the Spring Theme Challenge.  Happy crafting to all.

Buster Birthday Card

Here is Buster peeking out of a pocket with a cupcake.  Cute little birthday card for child, grandchild, or niece or nephew.  Happy Birthday was print and cut using Silhouette Studio DE and foam taped on the pocket.

I did create stitches using SCAL3 but doesn't show up too clearly, so used my white gel pen and marked stitches along the edges.  My 'Buster' is a little different - the card base shoud've been the same color as Buster, and that way I would not have had to create a 2nd ear, but this is my version!

Thank you for stopping by today to visit with me and hope your day is full of craftiness.

Girl With Dandelions Center Step Card - Mother's Day Card

http://www.sunsationalstamps.com/images/GirlWithDandelions246x347.png

Supplies used:
  1. Card base from Silhouette Design Store which I retweaked by using a die to cut the die cut from the back of the center step card. (viewed a video on youtube.com on how to create this technique.)
  2. Design paper from my stash of paper
  3. Happy Mother's Day was stamped (using my new tool MISTI stamping alignment tool), than scanned into Silhouette Studio DE and created the back shadow.  Print and cut the sentiment and cut out 2 poster board back shadows and foam taped below the Girl with a Dandelion.
  4. Card base could actually be heavier card stock but once I got started I just kept right on.
Thank you for visiting with me today, and hope you have a happy crafting weekend where the sun is shining and no rain falling.

Spring Moments Layout

For today's layout I have what I call Spring Moments which is the title I have given to Cheryl Scrapinmini's April's Choo-Choo Train Kit which you can find on Facebook

Supplies used:
  1. 12x12 mats from Stampin! Up collection as well as the grass and the top mats of the ovals (eggs)
  2. Journal cards and Spring Moments sentiment (Journal Card) from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking
Bunnies and Girl I retweaked so I can print than cut on my Cricut Explore Design Space.  The flowers also print than cut and from one of my many scrapbook clipart sources.  The grass was for another project that didn't just quite fit, so I trimmed and placed over the bunny.

Thank you for taking time to visit me today, always happy to have visitors and comments left.  Happy crafting day to all.

Mid-month Inspiration - Christmas Ornaments

It's Mid-April already, time for another Christmas Ornament card to share with you ....

All digis I changed to png format, and uploaded into Silhouette Studio DE and grouped together to be a tree branch holding a ornament.  I used Christmas Red from Copics for the bow; and glitter pens from Wink by Stella for the ornament.  The layering of card was just an accident.  I laid the top layer on the red cardstock like shown, and liked it so went with that format.  The 2 mats from my personal stash of paper.  Red gemstones from Wal-mart; and the silver beads from a pkg of phone bling.  Penned in stitch lines using white gel pen.

Thank you for visiting with me today; and hope all have a great tax day!!  Don't forget to do thoses taxes!!..

Challenge #51 Anything Goes

Created two cards using Stenciled Rose Card, one for a birthday card and the 2nd card as a anniversary card (which came along at a good time - son and daughter-in-law celebrating 15 years of marriage.)

The first card the stencil was cut out using poster board and layered onto a fancy scalloped-edge mat from SilhouettteAmerica Online Store and sponged with a retired ink pads from Close to My Heart -
  1. Cranberry
  2. Blush
and from Stampin! UP
  1. Wild Wasabi Ink Pad
  2. Ribbon - from my Stampin! Up stash of ribbons
Pink gemstones from my personal stash.

I hand punched the tag and placed over some ink stains when I was sponging the edges with Cranberry from Close to My Heart.

2nd card:

I cut the Stenciled Rose and placed a red circle under the cut out rose.  Laid the leaves on top of the mat; and stamped the sentiment in the corner, placed a pink gemstone in one corner of the mat.  Now to locate a inside sentiment for anniversary and  it'll be ready to mail out.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and happy crafting to all.

Scrapbook Blessings Club Challenge - Color Challenge w/option of a Fun Fold

Time for another challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club  and our theme for this challenge is a Color Challenge (with option of a fun fold).

See the details of who our sponsor is for this monthly challenge over at  Scrapbook Blessings Club

And the colors for the challenge are:

Now to my card for this challenge.  I chose a simple step card base for my Easter card, but I do not know where I purchased the file - it could be Studio DE file or a Cricut Design Space file. :-(

The Bunny Face and Hoppy Easter Sentiment from The Creative Pointe.
The 'pink' duck from It's Spring Time scrapbook layout kit ... this color was unintentional - my color ink cartridge is low on color.
The design paper from stash of paper.
Ribbon (Old Olive I believe) from Stampin! Up

Thank you for spending time visiting with me, and check out rest of the challenge participants at
Scrapbook Blessings Club  and join in with us in the challenge.  Happy crafting, and blessings to all.

Chick Cards

A cute Easter Chick Card that I made two of and will be mailing to Indiana this weekend (it'll be late for Easter arrival, but no stamps!!)

I will have to say, this file was quite easy and simple to put together - not itty-bitty pieces to glue together like I am doing with a Christmas mini-album!!  The eyelashes and cheeks was hand drawn in to give the chickies some pop.  I was aiming for a boy-chick but not sure that I accomplished it...may-be I should've left the plaid bow off the boy!  This file is from Creative Kuts.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and Happy Easter to all.

It's Spring Time 2-page

Traditional layout of It's Spring Time by Creative Kuts and here is what I completed.....

12x12 pages using construction paper for the main page (a great way of using up my construction paper!)  The first page I created a Bunny frame using a clipart embellishment from a scrapbook source found at CraftCrave, a source for scrapbook, paper craft and many other freebies.

Since my machine(s) was not able to cut out the butterfly that came with the file (too intricate) I chose to use my butterfly paper punch, but the butterfly on page one (the larger one) is a cutfile from Birds Cards (scroll thru to locate in older pages); the smaller butterflies from a hand punch.

Thank you for stopping to visit with me today, and blessings to all and happy crafting.

Challenge - Christmas Ornaments

Almost April, and I hadn't been thinking about the posting of this Christmas Cards All Year 'Round Challenge - Ornaments.  This is the card I am sharing with you....

I found this Ornament edge card in a search of the SilhouetteAmerica Online Store and the stamp is from DRS Designs Rubber Stamps.  Layered a red piece of cardstock on inside page and makes a quick Christmas card to send.  In fact, I see using the same base, but changing the printing and cardstock to other Christmas colors.

Take a moment and stop by Christmas Cards All Year 'Round to have a look at what the design team are sharing.  Thank you for visiting with me today, and hope you have a great start to April; and also Happy Easter to all.
