This hop runs all weekend, so you will have plenty of time to make it all the way through the hop.  So let's party and give a big welcome to Spring

Here is my Project for the hop I was given

Using the file I was given to work with, I created a 2-page layout.  I used a Fiskar's Die Cut and created a lattice edge border, placing design paper in the long center.  The photo frames are print and cut, foam taped to the mat and than placed on the page(s).

Butterflies are punched (the punch has 3D layer pieces to punch, and I used a 2 layered butterfly)  The flowers and the grass the duck is standing on comes from the It's Spring Time kit from Creative Kuts (not sure if it's in their store yet).

I printed the duck, flower(s), cloud and umbrella on individual squares, layered on 2 mats each, and layered down the lattice border.

Lot of my print and cut (or as Cricut calls it print than cut) done in Silhouette Studio Design Edition or Cricut Explore using Design Space.

And here is a tent card I created using the image file....

Tent card base from the SilhouetteAmerica Online Store and expanded it to 5.50x9.00 size. Matted expanded to fit or as close to fitting as I could using the offset option Silhouette Studio DE.

Coloring done with my Prismacolour Markers (I love these markers)) and Happy Easter stamped using a wood-mounted stamp that I've had forever.  The hearts were colored with Wink of Stella Red glitter pen.

Window Frames Gate Fold Card

Good morning, and happy to have you visiting with me today.  I am sharing a card I created using a version of a gate fold card I viewed on youtube.com by Dawn5377 (I am subscribed to her videos and receive notifications via e-mail).  Here is a link to her video; and she has other gate fold cards listed as well.

Sine I do not have this particular die cut I used another die cut which did make my inside card smaller than her version, but it works.

Here is the photo ....

Recipe for card:
  1. Card stock from my personal stash, the tag and mat Crumb Cake from Stampin Up
  2. Framelits - Labels Collection #125598 in Stampin Up catalog (page 231 of latest catalog)
  3. Faith in Nature stamp set from Stampin! Up (received as a hostess gift)
  4. Fiskar's Compact Stamp Press to help with lining up the stamping of images/sentiment (will be replacing this tool with the new MISTI that has just come on the market)
The white card mat will tuck in a pocket under the front gate fold which is super great for closing the card - no belly band, etc to close the card for mailing purposes (it's shown more in the video)

Challenge # 50 Easter

The Bunny Face and Hoppy Easter Sentiment from The Creative Pointe.
The 'pink' duck from It's Spring Time scrapbook layout kit ... this color was unintentional - my color ink cartridge is low on color.
The design paper from stash of paper.
Ribbon (Old Olive I believe) from Stampin! Up

I also included the above card in the Challenge over at Scrapbook Blessings Club  for the month of April, beginning April 5, 2015.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and happy crafting to all.

A Bunny in Basket 2

Good morning and it's officially Spring (as of March 20th) and we're experiencing warm, almost hot weather here.  The Pear Trees are blossoming and Spring is in the air.

I am sharing A Bunny in Basket 2 in two photos - one with a brown background, and 2nd one with a white background.  (I have the worst cameras and just can't get a clear and sharp picture!!)

Photo #1

and

Photo #2

I believe the photo is better looking in person!!

The background paper is unique for me.  I was printing a scrapbook paper for another project; and ran out of yellow in my colored ink cartridge and came up with this design.  Since I was working with this image, I thought the blue would be a sky; and the green the grass.

I print and cut the png image and colored with my Bic Markers.  I placed dots in the one egg using my white gel pen along with the stripes on the center egg.  The grass was from my Silhouette Studio Library collection.  The banner is from a scrapbook kit by Mandy King Bring On Spring kit.

Thank you for spending some time visiting with me today, and please join us in our March Spring Hop at Sunsational Stamps blog

Birthday Card for Daughter-in-law

Card was created using my Cricut Explore machine (I love, love this machine -did I say it's so quiet when cutting - doesn't sound like a plane taking off like the Silhouette Cameo!!)  And their print than cut feature is soooo much better than the Cameo - no calibration to perform after the initial calibration was done.  (Silhouette people need to learn from Cricut about some of these features.) Rant over!!

My daughter-in-law will be celebrating her birthday today (March 13th) (yuppers a Friday this year!!)  I downloaded the calendar from the Cricut Design Space store (it was/is a free file to use), inserted the 'Happy Birthday Tricia" and circled the date with a red circle with the text option.  Leprechaun Bear and a shamrock was placed on the calendar, after I flatten them and than grouped the two pieces so they would not cut out individually.

And once I locate the stamp I would like to use on the inside for the sentiment, it will be off to Texas, hopefully to arrived same day her flowers arrive.  She deserves this special flowers as she has gone through so much the last 18 months and has successfully come through it all.

Thank you for taking a few minutes in your day to visit with me today, and happy crafting to all.

Coloring with Your Sponges and Reverse Masking

Good morning, Carolyn of Granny Ma's Creations sharing a 4.25 x 4.25 card I created with the Coloring with Your Sponges Reverse Masking  from StampTV  by GinaK Designs.  Now my card is slightly different than her's :-)

I stamped my image onto white card stock and than cut it out per instructions from the video.  I stamped the flower image all over the card mat and than layered the mask over each flower, and sponged using my old Close to My Heart ink pads (don't have very many!) and than highlighted some of the flowers with a dried up ink marker from Close to My Heart.  (Something tells me I need to replace a lot of my ink pads/markers from Close to My Heart!!)

I print than cut the label with Happy Birthday sentiment from Cricut Design Space, and placed over the pink ribbon.

Here is the video by Melanie Muenchinger

Give this a try, it is easy to do.  Thank you for stopping by to visit  with me today, and happy crafting.

A Leperchaum (March) Layout from Creative Kuts

Here is a quick and easy layout by Creative Kuts

Frames from Ditz Bitz Designs, and her link in Facebook is blocked by Facebook powers-to-be, so here is the store link to the freebies .  Just click on the individual picture and should direct you to the freebie file. Or here is info from Brenda:
The link for the store freebie is http://ditzbitz.weebly.com/store/p609/Lucky_Little_Leprechauns.html. They'll need to join the freebies group to get the exclusive freebie frame.  https://facebook.com/groups/ditzbitzfreebies/

Each month, we passengers of the Choo-Choo Train for Creative Kuts have a layout file to create and post to Facebook Creative Kuts Group page; once that is completed we qualify for the next month's train ride which I am looking forward to as it will be a Easter themed layout.

So the Month of March was Leprechaum/St. Patrick Day themed and had this layout to create.  My frames are from Ditz Bity Designs that she has offered on her store site for free right now; and she came out with these frames at the right time.  I see the pictures and thought they would work with this layout and sooo used them.

Also the Bear Leprechaum is changed a little, too.  Instead of a green suit, he has a gray vest and pants; and I print than cut (Cricut Explore's terminology for print and cut) the Bear instead of piecing the bear.  The Bear in left corner I pieced it - smaller and not much work ... lol.  I added small shamrocks to the black kettle.  Small gem stones or Liquid Pearls was placed in the center of the shamrocks.

Thank you for spending a little time visiting with me today, and hope you're having a happy crafting day wherever you're at.

Challenge for March - Cute Critters

Almost March and I almost forgot to post my card for March 1st.  Our theme for March is Cute Critters.  I am sharing two cards I created using a clipart of a fox layered onto scenery I printed onto white card stock.

This snowy scenery and Merry Christmas sentiment is available in the SilhouetteAmerica Online Store.  I placed the background onto 4.25x5.50 white cardstock.  The sentiment was  print and cut using my Silhouette Cameo (unfortunately can not save file as a svg from Design Edition so I can print than cut out using Cricut Design Space.  Their print than cut is so much better - no white on edges showing!!)  Layered the sentiment with foam tape; and the cute fox was adhered to card.

Using the same Fox clipart, I print and cut the card with the sentiment and pine trees.  Also print and cut the Fox again, and layered over the printed Fox giving it some dimension.  I stamped snow flakes throughout the card and presto, I have a nice, simple Christmas card to send next Christmas.

Thank you for taking a few minutes out of your busy crafting day to check out projects.  Come back again for more inspiration from Christmas Cards All Year 'Round   .

Challenge - Pop Up Cards

This challenge is sponsored by A Day for Daisies designs... and the digi I used for this challenge is:

and to create a pop-up card and here is my pop-up card.  (Video will follow below on this pop-up card)

Front of Card

Inside of my pop-up card

Okay, I am sharing two techniques here.  The front of the card  is from StampTV video I received in my e-mail on February 12, called Scrappy Background.

A good way to use up your scrap paper, both on the front and in the inside of card.

Now the pop up is not, what I consider, a traditional pop-up.  I cut out the Happy Love Day bunny with balloon twice, and trimmed the balloon from the 2nd Bunny, making him/her the receiptant of the balloon(s).  The carrots was found on the online library of Make the Cut software; and the clipart from the following:

Row of Party Balloons clipart either by Jessica Weible Illustrations
WordArt - Love by Shmooangel Designs (found this clipart on Craft Crave a few days ago)
With the way I done the pop-up this card will be thick so need envelope created specially for it or use a padded envelope.
