DIY Gift Bag

DIY Gift Bag

I seen a DIY video on Facebook and when I went back to watch it again could not find it, so went to trusty ole Pinterest and located the instructions there.

Using Christmas paper purchased from the local new Dollar Tree Store, I just guessed at a size I wanted to make and created this gift bag.  The instructions placed her item to wrap on the paper before cutting out the paper - I just guesstimated my size and decided to use it for a Christmas gift going to a friend.  And since the paper is of cheap quality (you pay for what you buy) this can be disposed of after the gift is open.

Here is the link for the DIY Gift bag DIY Gift Bag .

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great holidays.

September Layout - Pumpkins 4 Sale

A one-page layout September themed for my youngest great-granddaughter's scrap book.

Took me awhile to finish; and than to take pics - due to weather being cloudy and rainy, and than appts for myself and my sister, it was 'put on the back burner'.

This is a file that is included with the September ChooChoo Train by Creative Kuts.  Check it out at Creative Kuts Facebook page.

Thank you for stopping by to visit me.  I apologize for being irregular in my postings.  I have stepped down from my duties with the design teams I've been on; and the final one I am going on the injured list for a few months.

We will be having a sister-in-law from Minneapolis, MN visiting us during January and February, 2016; and my son finally got the good news that the U.S. Army signed off on his packet for early (6 months) release from service.  He would be leaving the service in October, 2016, but he has obtained a job and will be starting in May, 2016 once the family is settled in Alabama.

I am devoting more time to scrapbooking my grandchildren and great grandchildren (the 4th one is due May 14, 2016) so my postings will be slow.  Check back often as I may have a free file to share with you.

No Peeking

Here here is my Saturday posting for Sunsational Stamps and I used the image No Peeking for my card today.

I found the idea of the card layout while searching Pinterest and thought this would be a cool card.  The design paper is Christmas wrapping paper purchased at the local Dollar Tree which replaced the sentiment/title "No Peeking".

I used my copic markers for coloring the image, along with Wink by Stella glitter pens for the dots and ribbon on the lid.  I placed the wrapping paper on red cardstock and than used foam tape to glue to the main card.

Thank you for stopping by, and hope you all survived Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday.  Blessings to all and have a safe holiday weekend.

Jingle Bells

Good morning, today is another gloomy, rainy day - one to stay in and work on scrapbooks for the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Here is my DT project for Sunsational Stamps, using Jingle Balls Snowballs

Cardbase/set used from a Silhouette Studio file I have saved in the library, and retweaked it for my card.  I used Prismacolour markers for all of the Snowballs except for the nose which is Copic marker.  The ribbon bow, bells, and title colored in with my Wink of Stella glitter pens.  Stamped some falling snowflakes and now I have a Christmas card finished.

Here is the photo from the store:

that can be purchased at Scrapping With Lisa Designs.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with us today, and have a blessed day wherever you're at.

Album_in_a_Box by Sweet Bio Designs

This is my next project to work on.

Have a Smurfy Thanksgiving

While I was coloring the Pilgrim Woman for last week's blog posting, I thought to myself, she would make a great Smurfite so I colored her blue, placed on Smurf background paper I found on a Internet search and created this card.

as Smurfite

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me; and have a blessed day; and be safe on Halloween.

A Thanksgiving page for the 8x8 mini-album

I have been working on a 8x8 mini-album, titled "My First" for my granddaughter to have and use for their third child; and I just completed a Thanksgiving page.

I print and cut the following images from Scrapping with Lisa Designs

Files used:
  1. Fence from October's ChooChoo Train kit by Creative Kuts
  2. Design paper from Pixel Scrapper Digital Scrapbooking
  3. Count Your Blessings title from misskatecuttables
  4. Corn stalks from SilhouetteAmerica Online Design Store
  5. I used my Prismacolour markers and copics for coloring the clothes and shoes; using a blending marker for all.
  6.  Highlighted eyes and shoes with a white gel pen; and the belt buckle on hat and suit with a silver glitter pen/marker from Wink by Stella.
Here is page 2 of the Thanksgiving theme layout...

I created waterfall photo mats and placed to left of page, over the fence with a pumpkin layered there.  There is a Sunflower image that I print and cut the outline; and than colored with my Prismacolour markers (I apologize for the bleached out look, due to taking the photo with the sun shining onto it this morning.)    I used the design paper from the 1st page and layered them on the top of each photo mat.

Once this mini-album is completed, I am planning to change the back cover where it will enclose the album; and hoping to add more pages with photo mats and pockets for more photos.  As I progress with this, I will take pics and post here and on Facebook.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and blessings to all.

Another page for Baby D's Album

I created a 11x11 template using an idea from Lea France.  I have purchased a couple templates of her design for a later page layout.

To add more 'pop' to the page I cut out a giraffe, baby bottle and arrows to place on the layout page.  I took the baby bottle and added the baby's info (i.e. date of birth, etc).  The arrows I found in the library on Make the Cut software, created svg and open/merged into Silhouette Studio DE; and typed out the names, grouped and welded to the individual arrows.  Giraffe is print and cut and placed the beads in different areas, mainly to cover up the blank areas.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me, and have a blessed weekend.

Too Cute To Eat Thanksgiving Card

Too Cute To Eat
using white card stock for the base, and mats from Washi green from Stampin! Up and the striped design paper from a paper pad from Walmart.

Used prismacolour markers to color the Turkey, and placed on a shaped mat cut out using my Silhouette Studio DE software.  The black dots I created using my square measuring tool.

Snowman Mug layout

A single page layout using a svg cut file from Creative Kuts (which was a free file for the passengers of the monthly ChooChoo Train on Facebook page).  I decided on a single page layout for my project.  Two photo mats added and a photo can be added to the mug.  I created the snowflake border using Sure Cuts Alot Ver 3 software, and placed on the top; and stamped snowflakes in white ink.  Movable eyes was used.

Thank you for visiting with me today, and will be back on this coming Saturday.

Tom Turkey Thanksgiving Card and Mini-album pages

Good morning and hope your day is a blessed one.  Here is a card I created for our Thanksgiving Day theme card/projects.  I used Tom Turkey for my first card of 2015 season.

I used my prismacolour markers to color the Turkey and the bow tie was colored in with Wink of Stella Blue glitter ink.  The title I created with a font from my font directory in Studio DE software and all was print and cut onto white card stock, with Tom Turkey printed as a stamped image whereas I colored in.

I took a piece of black card stock and scalloped punched the bottom edge, layered the white onto it and than placed two black button beads in left corner.

Now to the 2-page mini-album pages I created title First Halloween.

The first page with Teddy Bear with a carved pumpkin I used a font from my font directory and created 'First Halloween' and placed bats onto the shadowed backing.  The bats came from the Make the Cut Library.

Paper is from a personal stash I've had for some time (purchased when Wal-mart sold scrapbook paper!!)  I created the frame with a bat on one corner.  I used black and white polka dot washi tape (don't like washi tape at all - does not stick too long) for the bottom as the design paper was just a hair too short on the poster board that I used  for each page.

Second page is a bale of hay that is from Creative Kuts; and the ghost tag and pumpkins from misskatecuttables.  Not sure where the spider web came from, but I cut it out using my Explore along with the carved pumpkins...Explore does a great job of print and cut - NO white edges.

September 2-page layout

This is part one of the September pages from Creative Kuts Choo Choo Train where I am a passenger and each month we create one of Cheryl's creations.  Please forgive the quality of the 2nd photo - it seems to be 'bleached' out.

Page one (top) I did not use the eyes that came with the file; I used one of the face stamps from Scrappydew stamps.  Also stamped eyes, from PeachyKeen Faces on the pumpkins.  I used a lot of print and cut techniques or cut out the svg files using either Studio DE or Explore for designing and cutting.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and have a blessed weekend.

Happy Haunting Layout

Wow it's October already and in some areas, trees turning beautiful colors, and the hot temperatures being replaced with cool temps (my kind of weather!)

Using Happy Hauntings with a Mummy title from  Scrapping with Lisa Designs and Sunsational Stamps I created this Fall/Halloween layout.

A traditional 12x12 layout that I created using a layout from the Silhouette Studio DE Library (I purchased from the SilhouetteAmerica Design Store) and placed the Happy Hauntings with a Mummy title at bottom of page.  A nice page to go into a scrapbook for on of my great grandkids album for 2015.

Thank you for visiting with me today; and take a moment and visit Sunsational Stamps blog for more inspiration from fellow DT members.

A Bushel of Birthday Wishes

Using Apple Girl jpeg image from Sunsational Stamps

I created this pop-up birthday card....

Front

I print and cut the front of this card using the girl holding an apple from the jpeg image set.  The apple tree was printed in color, and I colored the girl with my Prismacolour markers.  Grass is from the Silhouette Studio DE Library.  I scalloped a piece of red cardstock and placed on the edge (to cover some ink stains from my fingers!!)

Inside

I printed and cut the basket and the wordart "A Bushel of Birthday Wishes for the inside, colored the basket with apples with my Prismacolour markers and placed on a pop-out tab.  Apples from Make the Cut Library that I cut out with my SCAL3 software.  Highlighted with a white gen pen.
