My Heart Spins 4 You

This is a cut file from Creative Kuts from last weeks' Thursday Treats that we request the free file on Tuesday of the week, and we should receive the file on Thursday and than create something.  I cut out the hearts, the circle and the pin-wheel (after re-tweaking the pin wheel in SCAL3) and after putting together, I placed on a black and white polka dot card stock with pink scalloped edges I punch on top and bottom.  Placed three red gemstones, red ribbon, and three gemstones to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all xoxo.

Now for my project, I made a Twisted Easel Card using "Have a Ice Day". You can find the "Have an Ice Day" penquin file here: Scrapping with Lisa Design

Supplies used:
  • Have an Ice day! digi from Sunsational Stamps
  • Card stock from personal stash
  • Embellishment circles made with Shape Studio punch and acrylic circles.
  • Snowy Tree svg cutfile from Miss Kate Cuttables. At time I got the file, it was a freebie.
  • Adhesive and Copic markers.
  • Twisted Easel Card (video can be found here.)
I located the snowflakes on a Internet search, and brought it into my Abode Photoshop Elements ver. 7 software and created a design paper using 'fill pattern' option.  Quite easy to do, just need to work with it more.  Stamped sentiment 'hello' from a stamp in my stash of stamps.  A fun and easy card to do.

Thanks for stopping by and please head over to the next blog at Marji.

3-D Flower Print 'n Cut cutfile

Good morning, I am hoping you all are keeping warm and safe during this winter months.

I am here to share a print 'n cut file with you.  I have three new software that I have installed on my laptop that I am playing with and learning how to use in my creations.  This is my attempt at print 'n cut and also incorporating the 3-D decoupage or papertole effect.

Flowers Print 'n Cut

I apologize though that it's in Silhouette Studio format only.  For me, the Silhouette Studio Design Edition is far easier for print 'n cut than Make the Cut and/or SCAL3, but this my preference.

It is a three layered flower with a pearl to place directly on top, if you like; or use as a single flower without the added pearl.

This will be available in Cut and Create Store shortly

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Monday - Die Cut Machines

Hi, Carolyn here  to share Monday's Die Cutting Machine project.for Scrapbook Blessings Club; and I chose a project using the Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine...

But first my Tip:  when creating these popup cards, at least with me, trim the inside insert just a tadbit on top and bottom so it will not 'hang' over the edges before adding glue.

So... onto the project:

This is what the outside of the card looks like.  The base for this is also a Sizzix die which has the rounded corners that you insert into slits on back inside of the base.  I used a Martha Stewart hand punch for the bottom and layered with design paper.  Placed small pearls in the circles of the punched area; and the title is a cut file from MyScrapchick

Inside of the card:  cut from a magnetic die with heart combined on the end.  I placed a Stampin! Up ribbon on the one end; and I trimmed with tan strips of card stock on inside folds and one end.  Using Stampin! Up Teeny Words stamps, I stamped Happy Birthday, and placed a small pearl on one end.  I also sponged the coffee with Distress Ink - Tea.  A gift card from Starbucks can be glue-dot on the opposite end of card.

Supplies/equipment used:

This is the die that I used for the coffee cup (and not able to see the heart, but it's there!!)
  • Cardstock
  • Small pearls
  • adhesive
  • design paper
  • Sizzix Big Shot die cutting machine
I hope your enjoyed today's project. If you have a question, please leave it in the comments, and a DT member will get back to you.  You can visit me to see more card/project ideas at Granny Ma's Creative Blog .  Also, you can join up to our Facebook group: Scrapbook Blessings Club for more fun, games, inspiration, tips and techniques.
And as always, comments are appreciated. Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all...

Valentine's Day Challenge

Good morning to you all from Sweet Home Alabama... I am here sharing my Valentine Card for the DT challenge over at Creative Cutting Challenges.

Front of Popup Card

Inside of Popup Card

Supplies used for card:
  •   Valentine's Hearts using the Double Heart for front of card
  • Scalloped Heart from the Heart Easel Card by Birds Cards
  • The card pop out heart by Samantha Walk from SilhouetteAmerica Online
  • The tag from a stash I have
  • Red glitter by Martha Stewart
  • small hearts from a heart punch
  • design paper I print and cut using my Silhouette Studio Design Edition.
I purchased the card pop out heart recently, and when the Valentine's Day challenge came up, I thought this would be a great card to create using Cindy's Valentine's Hearts - the Double Heart.  I used the small heart pieces and glued red glitter by Martha Stewart to two hearts, to give some 'pop; to the front .  The scrolled tag located in my Silhouette Studio library, placing the sentiment on foam tape to front of card.

The inside I used design paper I created from a Internet search of valentine wallpaper and printed and added to each end of the inside.  The tag is from my stash that I don't remember when or where I purchased it.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and head on over to Creative Cutting Challenges for more DT inspiration.  Hugs to all...

Making our own Pattern Paper

Good morning, this is Carolyn sharing my DT project with you all.  The image is 'girlflowers' from
Bugaboo Stamps

Supplies used:
  • Digi image from  Bugaboo Stamps
  • Newspaper grunge for card base
  • Floral stamp from Fiskar's using a continuous roller stamper
  • Butterflies created using Serif CraftArtist2 and Silhouette Studio Design Edition
I first printed the front of card stock with the Newspaper Grunge 'image' and the inside of card base, I printed using the color from the newspaper grunge.  The border I used the Floral Stamp from Fiskar's Roller stamp and black ink (supplied) to create the border.  I layered onto Kraft card stock and punched lace-scalloped edged, both top and bottom of the mat.

The butterflies was created using CraftArtist2 Pro and once finished to my liking, I loaded into my Silhouette Studio Design Edition, traced it and than print and cut and using different sizes of butterflies, created a 2-D look.

2-tab or 3-tab Popup Base Card

A Happy Friday to you out there, Carolyn here to share a freebie with you all.

I recently took the plunge and purchased the new software by Make the Cut, called Popup Card Studio

and have created these two card bases to share with you...I know that I will enjoy this software, creating my own popups as I don't like physically cutting these tabs -- I feel my cutting is messy and not straight.

I believe you will be able to read more information about this software on the Make The Cut forum  by just clicking on here and also Susan BlueRobot has a two-part video on how to use this software.

I just completed a base card with arch steps that I will cut and place photos on the arched steps for mini-albums I am creating.

Thank you for stopping by; and click on the link under the file which will direct you to the download file.  If any questions please few free to leave me a comment.  Hugs to all.

Stitching - Faux or Real -

Hi, Carolyn here with today's challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge and I would like to share with you my card:

  • adhesive
  • white and black gel pen for faux stitching

I used my Ribbon Threader punch for the edge of the Kraft cardstock; and corner round the right corners to match the card base.  Threaded navy blue ribbon and adhered to the white card base.

Challenge # 25 - For the Boys

We're back!  Hope all had a splendid holiday season with family and friends as I tried ... my family out of country at this time and I had a very quiet holiday vacation.  I spent time creating and also preparing myself for the quilt I will be working on as well as my design team commitments.

Now to my project for this Challenge #25 - For the Boys...

Supplies I used for this card:
  • Card base, mat and slider piece from SilhouetteAmerica Online Store
  • Of Road Set svg file Off Road Set from Cut and Create Store
  • Title and Sand pile from SilhouetteAmerica Online Store
  • Design paper in my paper pad stash.
I cut all files with my Silhouette Cameo and the motorcycle was placed on slider with two poster board circles with foam tape.  The Sand pile was placed on the end of slider base.

The design paper, hopefully gives the impression of rays of sun shining down on the motorcycle rider.  A gemstone was placed in the corner for decorative purposes.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hope all have a healthful and peaceful 2014.

Winter Scene Card - Celebrate Winter (Reflected Image)

Winter Scene Care using Reflections technique.

This is a new technique for me and not very sure I will create again ... mainly because I do not have the right stamps on hand for this technique.  I searched youtube for this technique using digitals but there wasn't any - just one's using stamps.  Now, I will continue looking and experimenting and may come up with the right technique.

But I did find a stamp in my collection that would work once I hand-stamped the stamp with my ink markers, just covering the places I wanted to stamp.  And I also located a piece of acetate to stamp the image and placed on card as a reflection.

The Snowman digital is from My Library on Silhouette Studio which I made smaller and than printed two of them out on card stock.  Using my EC Shape Studio - Round 25 and a Bubble cap, I followed instructions and created my own embellishment of a Snowman bubble button.  Little white beads from Stampin! Up was placed on the snowflakes randomly.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me and join us at Scrapbook Blessings Club for this Challenge.
