Playing with Paperdolls

Remember the days when we played with paperdolls, dressing them in fashionable clothes and pretending to be them. Always wanted to create paperdolls for my two youngest granddaughters, but time got away and now they're getting to the age where they wouldn't play with paperdolls.  This week's BAP over at Facebook Creative Kuts group page, we received this digi image to color and create.  I have some 6x6 sheets of design paper given to me in a goodie bag that I used for the layered look.  Used my Edgelits - Adorning Accents #125595 in the Stampin! Up Catalog for the edges on the card base and the layered mat.

Using my Silhouette Studio Design Edition, I print and cut out the paperdoll, but the white area in the arm areas, I cut out with my exacto knife and trimmed along the lines -- very carefully, since I had it already placed together.  Took a stamp from a Stampin! Up set (Hello) and stamped in various areas and placed the paperdoll image next to the sentiments.  I used the following Copic Markers to color in the image:

#B97 Night Blue
#B95 Light Grayish Blue
#E000 Pale Fruit Pink
# E74 Cocoa Brown
and Black from Stampin! Up markers
The belt, headband and shoes have been glazed with clear gel pen from Sakura.
Cardstock is from Walmart.

Check out  Creative Kuts on Facebook and join us in the fun.  Thank you for coming by to visit with me today, and blessings to you all.

Bring on Christmas

It's almost the end of June, and less than six months to Christmas!

Using my library of files from SilhouetteAmerica I found and cut out a tent card for this week's presentation. I print and cut the Bring on Christmas image and stamped the sentiment and gift package on the front of the card.  Colored the image with my Copic and Stampin! Up markers and the belt was colored in with a black gel pen.

I played around in my Photoscape software to create the background as the time of day I took the pictures was not the best so edited it as best as I could.  The card stock I used to the tent card is a shaded green, going from light to dark and does not show up to well.

You will be able to obtain this image at http://thestampingchef.oo.gd store.

H.S. Senior Album

Good morning peeps.  I am here with my first DT project for CEDDT using my Silhouette Cameo and Silhouette Studio DE software.  I love, love this machine as I can do so much with it and the software is easy to create projects the way I would like them to be.
My grandson graduated from high school on June 2, 2013 and this album will be about him and for him to look through.  I am planning to create at four albums from Freshman through Senior years, and have started with his Senior year.  Here is the cover of the first set of books:
100_2507
The school locker and banner with Senior from a file from http://www.creativekuts.com . The year, 2013 is my creation, and all cut out with my Cameo.  The background covering for the title page is covered with vinyl (I decided that glue-ing card stock to the chipboard does not always work for me, doesn't stay glued.)  And than I placed black and white polka dot washi tape along the edges, and my plans to bind is to use my Cinch binder and attached binding rings.
The first page of the album is a photo of my grandson, D. J. and the name title is print and cut with the Silhouette Cameo and software.  I painted the letters with the Fill Gradient colors, using blue.  I offset the letters to create the shadow blackout.  The dashes created by copying the individual letters and using the Internal Offset option, created a letter and replaced the solid line with dashes, and than placed over the original letter, and grouped it; and than print and cut
100_2510
I bought protective sheets for the album, like you would have in a 12x12 book and will be placing the individual pages in the pages to protect them, and place in the album, lining up the pages with the cover binding and attached to the book.  Come on back next month for another installment of the Senior Album.
Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Manga Beach Digi 1

Good morning and hope all of you keeping cool where you're located.  I pretty much stay inside where the air conditioner is constantly running.

I used Manga-Beach Digi 1 for my presentation today and created a post card.  I printed the background beach scenery from a Internet search, and found a beach umbrella on Silhouette Online Store which I welded together and cut out.  The Manga image I print and cut using my Silhouette Studio Design Edition software as well as the sentiment.  Back of the card, which is the 2nd photo is stamped with a Stampin! Up stamp called Post Card which is a new item this year.  The image was colored with Copic Markers and her hair was colored in with a Stampin Up water based color marker.

You may be able to purchase this digi image at Scrapper's Delight Store and check out her store for her work.

Thank you for stopping by, and blessings to you all.

Anything Goes Challenge #35

The challenge for the next two weeks is Anything Goes so chose to Summer Ella image to create a easel card with Ella standing on the beach ready to go swimming.  Background is from a internet search that I printed and than used my Sizzix BigShot die Label for the base of both the easel base and the mat for the design.  Title I created with the print and cut option in Design Edition of Silhouette Studio.  And the sea shell is from the Silhoutteonline store.  Accented the card with twine and it completes the card.

Check out the DT's work at http://www.platypuscreekdigitals.blogspot.com and join in the challenge with your creations.  Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Kapow

Remember watching Bruce Wayne and his sidekick Robin on t.v. years ago, more than I can tell you now.  I watched the t.v. show with my son as he was growing up, and than the movies came along.  The Stamping Chef Tamara drew this sentiment "Kapow" for us to present today, June 21st.

I first created a card by combining the "Kapow" sentiment with the yellow and orange rays and than print and cut the card mat using my Silhouette Cameo and Studio Design Edition (I love, love that software and cutting machine.)  Than layered with black and than orange and white polka dot card which Tamara created as well.  Layered this onto a navy-blue cardstock and later used for a birthday card.

Now I purchased the Stampin Up Post Card stamp set and thought, this would be a neat little post card so created the same image and cut out with my cutting machine.  And than stamped the Post Card image on back side of card and have a post card.  This stamp set can be used to create your own post cards to send invites to birthday parties, showers, about anything that you can think of.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all...xxxx.

A Post Card

I ordered the new stamp by Stampin Up called Post Card as I always regretted not purchasing the retired stamp set from several years ago, and wasn't about to miss out on this again.  And it seems that, unless you're traveling and stop at specialty stores that sell post cards, they're not available anymore.  So when I purchased this stamp set I thought I would create my own post cards. (Will come in handy for sending to recipients in the website Post Crossing.

I downloaded the floral image off of I Love Craft Crave as a freebie, with the idea of using for a birthday card and decided to try it out on a post card.  I resized the image to 6x4 inches and print and cut out using my Silhouette Cameo.  Once cut out, I turn upside down, and stamped the image on the back but I inked in the image by using a marker, leaving out the lines that went down the sides, bottom and top side as the stamp is smaller than the card.

I see this as a way of sending birthday party invitations by printing or stamping a birthday boy/girl image on front and stamp the other side.

If anyone is interested in purchasing this stamp set you may do so at Stampin Up with me as the demonstrator.  Or you can leave a comment with contact information and I will place the order for you.

Thank you for stopping by and allowing me to share my handiwork with you.  Hugs to all xxxxx.

Free Style Blog Hop

Here it is, mid-June and if you think about, we're about midway thru 2013.  Time is speeding by so fast.  And for my presentation for this Wednesday's Free Style Blog Hop, I have this to present to you...

I used some Kraft card stock for the base of the card, printed the image onto watercolor card stock, and used my Copic markers and Sakura Gel pens to color this image.  I used some design paper and washi tape for layering purposes, and added two gems to the corners.  The card can be used for a general greeting card or add a Happy Birthday sentiment to the front.

 Hop Order...

Scrap page layout using Proud To Be

I used the sentiment and Flag heart from the Proud to Be BAP for last week, and created a scrap page layout.  The doiley is created using a round the circle punch by Martha Stewart and love this punch.  Heart was placed in the center of the doiley layered on top of a square mat.  Banners placed along the edge of the mat with buttons placed inbetween.  A photo mat placed at an angle with two-layered button in the corner.  The sentiment was print and cut using my Silhouette Studio Design Edition.

Thank you for stopping by to visit with me today, and hugs sent you ways.

Rockability Rebel

I'm back from vacation....went up north to Indiana for my grandson's h.s. graduation.  Had a great time, but I'm super happy to be home and be back to creating.

Rockability Rebel - I love her.  Cardstock, I believe, is Stampin! Up and design paper is Colorbok.  I created the sentiment, using my Silhouette Studio Design Studio print and cutting it.  The lower layer found on my library in my Design Edition software, and I used one of the fonts from my files, using the offset function to thicken the font.  I pop-dot them onto the first printed out design.

Head on over to http://thestampingchef.wordpress.com to have a look-see at the design team's beautiful creations, and head over to the store to purchase the image as it's on sale this weekend.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.  I will be starting a mini-album(s) for my grandson of his 4 years in High School.  Will be blogging as I go with the results.

Milkshake Anyone

This image reminds me of the 50's & 60's diners and the delicious milkshakes they made.  I love this image and the paper I used, I hope, gives it that 50's look.

Really didn't know what to add to this card but I was checking out rosette flower tutorials on youtube and love how this one is created.  Of course, being my first attempt making these flowers, it's not as perfect as I would like it to be, but with a punched out circle (about 3/4 or 1 inch) and a button it hid the imperfections.  And next time I create the rosette flowers, I will use regular card stock - not the thick kind.

I used the lattice looking card stock from Colorbok  and punched scallopes across the shaped mat and inserted brass brads in each scallop.   The card base is from svgcuttingfiles (check it out, may be still a free file from them but I got the file when I was on her Design Team awhile back) .  The cut file includes at least 4 card bases to chose from.

Thank you for stopping by and check out the Design Team's inspirational work at http://thestampingchef.wordpress.com.  Hugs to all.
