Celebrating the 4th Challenge

For this Fourth of July Challenge project I used the file,
Patriotic Set by Creative Pointe, which can be purchased here....Patriotic Set  and with this set, I decided to create a pop up card.  Remembering what I had watched on a Sandi Genovese's video I decided to apply this to this card.

First, I basket weaved red and white strips and the way it came out was like the stripes on the Flag.  I glued the weaved square to a blue card stock to give it the 4th of July colors.  Placed Celebrating the 4th on the front of the weaved section along with more stars and a firecracker.

Inside of the card... I cut out the two sets of stars that came with the set and attached one star to the pop out tab, and the other set to each side along with extra yellow stars.  Layered blue, red and white cards and placed on the bottom of inside for a message or signing.  Placed another firecracker on one edge and a yellow star on opposite.

Happy Summer every one...and see you next September.

May 27th Challenge # 33 Black, White and another color

Black, white and another color .... and Congrats cut file from Platypus Creek Digitals.  Using black card stock for the base, I layered black and white polka dot washi tape across the center of front of card.  Layered the title Congrats with hat over the tape, and than in my Silhouette Studio DE software I print and cut the circular sentiment for the year onto gray cardstock, which is my other color..  I rounded the corners as the square look to blunt.

The inside of the card is a pop-up with the title 'Graduate'.  I placed the graduate's hat and diploma on foam tape, and added smaller hats on the top and along the edge.  The mat is layered with black and white card stock that can be used for a personal note.  Or you can glue dot a gift card in that same area too.  Also placed the black and white polka dot washi tape along the center of top of card matching it with the front tape.

Image #4 at CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenge

Here is my final project for the Progressive Freebie Challenge at CDAC...I used the Hawaiin Girl, print and cut her, colored with Stampin Up Ink markers.  Created a background using a sponge and sponged in the sky and my impression of a beach scene.  Cut out a grass embellishment along with print and cut the sentiment.  The 'bird's' flying in the sky...just some 'v' hand-drawn in.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Free Style Blog Hop ... May 22nd

During this Blog hop, this digi image is $1.00

This Challenge is Free Style and my choice is Kyoko Loves to Shop...who doesn't love to shop! And 'Shop till U Drop'  says it all, right?  :-)

I love this image from the set of Kyoko Loves to Shop and the set includes two images to choose from. Love the facial expression on both, and she was a fun image to color.

The skin color I used Copic E000 Pale Pink Pale, the hair and dress I used Stampin Up Ink markers and a water brush, which gives it a watercolored look.  The sentiment I used my SCAL3 to print and cut using a label from my Photoscape software that I saved as a png/jpeg image and than created a svg file.

I layered with two layers of colored cardstock from my stash onto yellow gingham card stock that I purchased at Michaels recently.  Added three brass brads to the left corner to complete the card.

Click on the image which will direct you to the store for purchasing. I believe this image(s) is on sale during this blog hop.

May 21st New Releases - Keep Your Faith

Here it is almost the end of May...just can't believe it.  Time is going by so fast, and that we'll be half way thru the year.  And this afternoon, I realized that my son and family, hopefully, may be home in 11 months from their deployment to Korea.

This card is titled "Keep Your Faith" and I thought, when seeing it, that it would make a great sympathy card.  There are many other uses too, but I chose sympathy.  I print and cut the image with Silhouette Studio DE, along with outsetting the image to create a shadow effect.  I used various markers to color in this image, and the sentiment 'With Sympathy' is part of the Tiny Wise

I placed black and white polka dot washi tape on to the card, and than placed the image over it, centering it.

This digi stamp will be available at The Stamping Chef Store on May 21st.  Head on over to the store and check out the digi images available there.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Levi goes Choo-Choo

I had this card finished except for the sentiment and finally completed it this weekend.  The image comes from The Stamping Chef Store  and was used in a Boy's Challenge a few weeks ago.  A cute image and another sentiment can be added that says Happy Birthday for a little boy.

I purchased the Center step-card from the SilhouetteAmerica online store and thought this would be great to use with this image.  The mat piece is included with the cut file. The design paper is from a stash of paper I have. I print and cut Levi with my Silhouette Cameo DE and placed in the center of the mat.  I used my copic markers to color in the image; and the sentiment was printed and than paper punched.

Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Basket of Flowers

Today, May 18th is my day to post a project using a digital stamp from Scrappers Delights Store and I chose the Basket of Flowers for my presentation.

With this image I watercolored the image with Crayola Supertips markers...I applied the color to my glass block that I use for acrylic stamps, and with my water color brush I colored in the image.  Before coloring, I placed the image into my Silhouette Studio Design Edition software, and created a background mat for the image, and than again for the mat...giving it two layers.

I placed onto a card that I had in my stash ... I used a rolling stamp to create the top border on the card, layered with a teal green mat, and believe the card stock is/was from Stampin! Up.  And stamped 'thinking of you' with the stamp "Teeny Tiny Wishes' by Stampin! Up.

Check out her store at http://scrappersdelights.com/store/ by clicking the link here, or on the badges on my right side bar on my blog.  Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all.

Thanks a Ton and a treat box

This is a quick and simple little treat box to make for ... you name it....that I received from the hostess of the Stampin! Up Club I belong to where, each month, we purchase items and one month during that 6 months I will be a hostess and earn some free items.

This is a simple card that I created ... the Whale is a punch from Stampin! UP along with the stars and fishies.  The design paper is part of Stampin! Up collection along with the very pretty card stock.  The bottle cap and button was added as embellishment on the lower right hand corner.

Each month I will receive a small kit like this to complete and post.  Enjoyed creating these two projects and looking forward to June when I receive the next kit.

Thank you for stopping by, and blessings to you all.

NV- Hello Baby (my title)

Created for the CDAC Progressive Freebie Challenges; and this file is actually called Woodland Baby and can be obtained at http://nanavicsdigitals.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/woodland-baby-digital-stamp.html.

I used my Copic Markers, Spectrum Noir, and Stampin Up markers to color in this image.  The scalloped circle is cut out with a sizzix punch and the round circle with my Cameo machine.  I added three beads to the card, and stamped the sentiment 'hello baby' from Teeny Tiny Wishes by Stampin Up.  Card stock and design paper from my stash .

Thank you for stopping by, and good wishes for a great day to you all.

Challenge #133 Use a Digi

Father's Day Challenge at Creative Cutting Challenges

Here's a card using the file ...Number 1 Dad.

I used Kraft type cardstock for the base of the card. I created a shaped card by laying the shadowed piece of the image on the edge of the card, and joined together creating a card base. The card is created from a plaid design I found on My Memories Suite scrapbook software, exported to my file, and than printed giving me the plaid look of a shirt. For the inside of the card, which is white on the inside, I cut a piece of kraft card stock to about 3 inches and glued to the inside...contrasting the colors. I wanted a tie created out of design paper and had a pad of these small to medium size paper. Decided on the black polka dot for the tie, and layered on to a shadow of the svg cut. Put it all together and presto...a Father's Day card for my son over-seas.

The svg file is available Cut and Create - Cindy Pointe.

BAP-Latticed Teapot Card

This week's BAP over at Creative Kuts Facebook page is a Latticed Teapot Card.  The main piece consists of the teapot, the latticed front and the teapot cover that folds over the center of the teapot.  I added a 'tea bag' label from a Crop-on-Line Teapot Mini-album.  Use a 3-D type butterfly punch and punched the main piece with the top piece and added a gem stone for the center of butterfly.  Stamped the Stampin Up sentiment, 'happy mother's day' in the blue trim and added beads to each side.  Also created stitched line under the sentiment.

Mother's Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the "Mother's Day" Blog Hop!

We're so happy you could join us today to honor Mothers, Daughters, Aunts or any other woman who has been a great influence in our lives!

In addition to seeing a lot of awesome projects, there is some blog candy
available too.  I will be giving away a Michael’s gift card.  To be
eligible for the blog candy, you are required to visit each stop in the
hop and leave a comment!  The winner will be announced Wednesday, May 15th on Miranda's blog!

I first cut out the card base from a svg file from http://www.creativepointe.com with Mom cut out in approximately the center.  Than using Versamark and a Stampin! Up stamp, Fifth Avenue Floral (believe it's retired stamp set) I placed the watermark image right below Mom and embossed with white embossing powder.  Use a ribbon and two flowers for embellishing the card.  For backing of the Mom cut out I placed a  off-white piece of cardstock and placed behind the opening.

The next two (2) cards using the card base from BirdsCards names Rose Edge Card whiich is a stenciled edge of Roses.  The card can be used with the rose edge to the side or as I done, along the bottom.

I cut out the Mom Charm and the back shadow and placed over a ribbon above the cutouts of the stenciled roses.  The blue card I placed small flowers at each ends of the charm and added punched butterflies for embellishments.

I hand trimmed the backing for the blue card, and than for the green card, I joined the pieces to come up with a 'welded' look and cut out with my machine.  And than trimmed it off at the perforated line.  Easy-peasy....

Next on the hop is  Ashley - http://marinewifesscrappinlife.blogspot.com

CK Crop-on-Line Recipe Club

This was the first page of the Recipe Card Club over at Creative Kuts that I have finished.  Each month, for 4 weeks we receive a page to complete for a recipe book for $5.00 per month.

I am hoping to have enough to finish this for my granddaughter who is getting married in August, 2013 (Labor Day weekend).

______________________

Here is the cover for the recipe book that I am creating.  I removed the chipboard from a three ring binder and decorated.

The title is my creation and the ladle and spatula are files received Creative Kuts for thanking us for being participants in the Club.  I used black and white polka dot washi tape for top and bottom edges and will be using my Cinch binding machine to create the holes when I am finished.  I am considering putting my granddaughter's name over the pink and white polka dot area....to personalize it for her.

I will post each additional page as I complete it.  Thank you visiting with me today, and continue to follow along with me as I proceed to finish this project.

New Files added to the store

Good morning peeps.  I just added these two new files here for your scrapping needs.

Beary Bear Release

This Beary Bear was colored with Copi and Spectrum Noir Markers.  I created the Beary Birthday sentiment using my SCAL3 and print and cut option.  The scalloped circle is from SilhouetteAmericaStoreOnline for $.99.  I do love their files except.....

This Beary Bear was watercolored using Crayola SuperTips markers and a waterbrush.  The sentiment print and cut with my SCAL3 software, and the one is the annfold font used.

I created the cards by using the shadow from the image in my SCAL3 program and joined it to a rectangle creating a shaped card.  I put the Bear on both ends of the card base so when folded it will fold on each other.  I placed a heart doiley on the girl bear card.  Both cards will be given to my great-grandchildren at their birthdays.

The image is available from The Stamping Chef store.  Thank you for stopping by, and hugs to all
