My Last project for Dutch Dare

This is my last project for Dutch Dare DT as a Guest Designer and I have really enjoyed myself this past month...

Here is my project for Thursday, Dec. 27th ... Celebration

Challenge: Celebration (New Year, new baby, birthday, new house, engagement...any reason to celebrate!
Sponsor: Crafty Sentiments

A new baby is cause for celebration as it will be for my granddaughter and husband as they're expecting their 2nd child, a girl anytime now.  And this care represents that ... if only the child looking into the crib had been a boy!!!  Than it would show my great-grandson, Carson looking down at his sister... :-)

I used my Silhouette Studio Designing edition to print and cut the image, and printed the sentiment using my Abode Photoshop Elements 7.

Inspiration Challange #196

My project using the following picture as an inspiration...

The scarf wrapped around the post of the mailbox uses the same colors as the colors in the center of the inspirational picture.

I printed the image on white card stock, tore around the edges and than daubed with distress ink.  I used Copic Markers for coloring and stamped the sentiment with Black Stazon Ink and punched out with a word punch from Stampin! Up.

Crop-on-Line...HOHOHO Santa Layout

HoHoHo Santa Layout

Crop-on-Line from http://www.creativekuts.com

A layout I just completed using cut files from http://www.creativekuts.com.  This is to encourage us to complete a layout for the scrapbooks we are working on.  This will probably go into either my granddaughter, Kassidy's scrapbook, or for my great-grandson, Carson's scrapbook.  But...I plan to create the same pages for each grandchild.

Cardstock used from Stampin! UP, Close to My Heart, and pack of card stock I purchased at Joann Fabrics .  The Christmas tag obtained from digitalscrapbookexperts.com through the Premium Club.

I really enjoyed completing this project...

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Another candle

A Candle with Santa ...

Entered in Challenge #33 at http://thesquirrelandthefox.blogspot.com/

Thank you for visiting with me, and hugs to all.

A double project for Dutch Dare Card Challenges

I created two projects for Dutch Dare Card Challenges this week as I completely forgot to work up this project and have posted by yesterday.  So...following the instructional tutorial that I copied and pasted to my blog yesterday on how to create the candle using a stamped image stamped on tissue paper, and than cut around the image carefully.  Layer the image and wax-paper onto the candle, and carefully use your heat gun to attach the image to the candle.  In the meantime, I etched a double heart onto a mirrored glass plate and set the candle on it.  Also, the challenge for this week was to use a image with snowflakes on it, and you can barely see the snowflakes I attached to the candle (due to the sun shining in the window, was hard to take a good picture showing more of the snowflakes.)

I created the gift-card holder using a snowflake on the front.  The face stamp is from Peachy Keen Stamps and I just love those stamps.  Will be using them alot in my work. And attached two small snowflakes with a bead in the center of each.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

BAP #45 for this past Sunday Dec 10th

Noel Card

Few weeks ago Ann created these word mats, and I took it one step further and made a small card with it. I took the word and blacked it out, and created a card base. The word is added to the top of card along with holly and berries and a stamped sentiment. Oh yes, the snowflake paper is actually tissue paper that you use to wrap gifts in a bag with...I cut it to size I wanted and ran thru my sticker maker machine and than added to top of card base...like washi tape (read somewhere that you can use tissue paper for tape purposes)....
Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.

Guest Designer at Dutch Dare - December

Christmas - Non-traditional colors.

I have been selected to be a guest designer at Dutch Dare and we are to create for this

Challenge: Non Traditional Christmas colors-  think Pinks and blues and silvers and gold and something other than red and green
Sponsor: Pattie's Creations
I used an image by Pattie's creations, a Polar Bear within a snowglobe, which I loaded into my SCAL3 software and created a easel card base.  Attached the image to the easel pieces and presto...I easel card to mail to a family member or friend for the holidays.  I cut out the base of the snowglobe and cut this out on designer paper.  Attached two snowflakes with a blue brad to enable the printed Polar Bear snowglobe to stand up for display.  Printed out Happy Holidays and used my Stampin! Up Paper Punch and added the sentiment to the bottom edge.
In the inside of the card I can insert a circle with the sentiment of choice and than mail the card.  Thank you for visiting with me, and until next week, when I post another creation, hugs to all.

Holiday Tags Set

PP-Holiday Tag Set

Card:  I first created a Gate-fold card base with a scalloped circle joined on the right edge.  Than I cut out the circle and Stocking and placed in the scalloped circle.  I placed gem stones in each scallop and placed a ribbon on the edge.

Tags....I joined two scalloped circles together to create a small card/tag for Christmas gift tags.  I than cut out each piece...i.e. reindeer, gingerbread, stocking, tree, snowman and candy cane and place in a cut out circle and adhered to the scalloped circle.  I didn't take pictures of the inside of the tages, but I stamped To and From in a white circle and stamped a snowflake below the sentiment.  The Holiday Tag Set can be purchased at

Platypus Creek Digitals Challenge....

Challenge #21 Christmas Card - Floral

Cut file used from:  platypuscreekdigitals.com (click on link and will take you directly to the cut file)

I created a Gate-fold card for this project, and combined one item from another source...the leaves which was attached to a rectangle.  Folded both ends in to form the gate-fold card.  Than cut out the Poinsettia Floral and placed on the leaves.  Card opens to the folded side with a stamped sentiment placed on the card.  I placed a strip of designer paper down the inside edge to cover the ribbon I had attached to the fron of the card.  The ribbon on front was placed over the same strip of paper to give it some dimension.  Inside center I placed a white card stock to stamp a sentiment or write a message.

Thank you for stopping by and hugs to all.
