I have set up a Shutterfly account showing all my designs that I create for the three teams I am members of.  Here is the link…please check it out.  I will be adding to it when I finish a design.

Granny Ma's Creations

Easter Scrap page layout

I am posting this, not really knowing when I am to do so, but I am leaving tomorrow morning early for Kansas  to ‘find Dorothy’ … lol   Actually to see my son for the first time since he got home from Iraq in March, 2011 and getting very excited about it.

This is an Easter layout for my design for AdamsAcres and you may purchase the cut file at Adams Acres Store.  Also you can check out the gallery under my name … Granny Ma’s Creations for pics featuring this layout plus other work I  have done.

Basically the cardstock used is from Wal-mart and flower is stenciled using Stampin! Up pastel chalk.  I’m afraid you will have to use some imagination for the pics in the photo frames…not able to locate the pics of my granddaughters egg hunting on Easter.  Once I find them, I will insert and than make up two more pages as I am creating a scrapbook each for the two granddaughters…their memories to cherish.

Thank you for allowing me to share with you.

Petal Mini-Growing Album

I am getting so forgetful with what I am doing…trying to keep ahead and than I forget…lol

Here is what we done for today’s post…A Petal Mini-Growing Album which I am using to create a album for my granddaughter Alexis showing her accomplishments and awards this past year.

IMG_0072IMG_0071

I created the flower using some left over Stampin! Up Designer paper, punching it with a scalloped punch, wet it down with water, crunched it up like spitballs, and than unfolded and put together, insert a brad in center of flowers and than spread out the scalloped circles.  Plus I spritz some glimmer spray on the flower to shine it up.

Used the Cricut Design Studio for the lettering on first page.  Inside page I used one of the frames from a couple months ago and inserted my granddaughter’s photo in and attached to page with pop-up dots.

Cardstock used from Wal-mart, and the top and bottom is poster board..oh what fun to cut out with Cricut---NOT.  Finally got the two cuts to my liking and rest is history.

Check out DtsArtsblog.blogspot.com for more of the designer’s  creations; and stop by the store at Die Cut Designer to order the file cuts for the Petal Mini-album; and the gallery to check out the creations by the designers.

Thank you for stopping by, and apologize for being late with this post.  Hope it’s sunny where you’re at…it’s raining here!

Pinwheels

Good morning bloggers....I am hoping you are keeping cool in your part of the country.  It will be in the mid-90's here in Alabama all week with some rain forecasted which is needed.

When I received the next file to create, I thought pinwheels...what can I do with them.  I was at a loss what to do until Dardi came up with ideas and got the old brain working for me.  Thought I could make these pinwheels small enough that they would represent flowers in a flower pot...had to make sure I didn't cut them so small that they would tear when working with them.  I cut out a flower pot and the pinwheels were cut from retired Stampin! Up designer paper and than stamped hello right above the ribbon on the pot.

Here is the results....

Thank you for stopping by, and make sure to stop over at DtsArtblog and check out the team members ideas for the pinwheels.  Once finished there, head on over to Die Cut Designer to the store to order this svg/mtc cut file.

Please have a great day.

Grandson’s b-day card

I’m a little earlier than I had indicated in my previous post about posting my grandson’s b-day card, but I was able to create it this morning. My grandson will be 17 tomorrow, June 15, 2011 and plans to go into aerospace engineering for his career choice, so the theme for his card this year is the space shuttle, Discovery or close to it as I can get.

Cardstock is from Stampin! Up and Wal-mart .

IMG_0060IMG_0062

I created the space shuttle in SCAL2 and since than I watched a video by Penny Duncan about the Beizer curves and straight line option in working with an image, and could’ve used this in cutting out a section that SCAL2 or MTC couldn’t.  Next time, but I plan to make up a file and sell this at Die Cut Designer.com and Cut and Create Store along with a Blackhawk helicopter that my son works on in maintenance when deployed.

Thank you for following and check out the above stores to see what is offered and what the designers have done (the Cut and Create Store is not opened yet, but will let you know when).

Birthday card for a Friend

A friend will be having his birthday tomorrow, June 15th and I created a birthday card for him using pocket knifes as a theme since he collects them.

IMG_0058

Front of the card one layer was scored to make a criss-cross pattern (sorry can’t come up with the actual name) and I used chalk to cover over the cardstock after rubbing on some versamark so the chalk will adhere to it.  Card base is from Stampin! Up as well as part of the knife.  I found the pic of pocket knives on a website, downloaded and used on another layer.  The sentiment “Have a Knife Day” is printed and than punched with a scalloped punch.  The knife shown on front was cut out using SCAL2.

IMG_0059

I used the same background of knives like on front, and the sentiment is from Stampin! Up and I shaded around the card stock with Blue Bayou from Stampin! Up.
The next birthday card project I am working on is for my grandson who will be 17 on the 15th of June…it is…. you’ll see it in the next day or so.  I’m late..but intentional as I don’t get paid ‘till next week and the birthday cash will be sent with his card.

Thank you for stopping by.  You will be able to see these photos on http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cmsmith46580, and on www.splitcoaststampers.com in the gallery.

Please stop by http://diecutdesigner.com/forum and check out what’s available in the store and look around in the gallery at the beautiful work done by designers.

Don’t know what to title this blog post

You know, I have spent two weeks dealing with PayPal due to someone hacking my account…used my e-bay account to order 4 cameras and sent to New Jersey shipping address….and PayPal expects me to pay back the negative balance in my account…expect me to be a fool to pay for something I did not order.

Than just shortly I was going thru the Creative Cutter’s blog and downloading files I would like to try for my personal use, and low and behold,  I find a cut file similar to one I created and offered as a freebie on my blog on February 21, 2011…similar in style and color.  Looks like the oval ones was re-tweaked, and both oval and scalloped ovals offered as freebies on their blog…

Now, back than, I was not watermarking mine or adding a TOU with my files, but have since started because of selling my files in a couple stores.  And I do have an account with MyCopyRight now, which will not do any good with these  particular file(s).  Just lettin u all know….

So here’s a copy of my TOU for your information:

Dinosaurs

I am a new member of the design team for Adams Acres at Adams Acres and our first project or design was to use dinosaurs…she had sent different ones to work with, and I chose three of the files and created a card for a 3 year boy who’s birthday is this coming weekend.  The other cuts was used in, once again, my great-grandson’s baby album.

Here is picture #1:

IMG_0053

I used Sure Cuts a Lot 2 for my cutting software…Make the Cut can be contrary when it comes to cutting!  I created the tree from a picture found on the web, and the cardstock used is mainly from Wal-mart or whatever I have available, mostly scrap pieces from other projects.  The designer paper and embellishments are from a retired scrapbook kit from Close to My Heart.  I used black pearls for the eyes.

The following is my the album I am making for my great-grandson, Carson.

IMG_0056

This actually is the back inside cover of the album that I have created.  The dinosaur is part of the kit from Adams Acres.  Cardstock used for the dinosaur is from Wal-mart and the embellishments from retired scrapbook kit from Close to My Heart.

Just click on the following link to purchase the kit of dinosaurs at http://www.diecutdesigner.com.  The link will take u to her store area.

Thank you for checking in with me today.  Hope your day is a great one as it is for me.

A Father’s Day Card

This past week I have been busy working on another design for http://dtsartblog.blogspot.com/ and it is ready to post.  You will find the design I created at http://dtsartblog.blogspot.com/ and in the gallery at  http://diecutdesigner.com/forum .

I created this card with my son in mind….drum roll…..

IMG_0041IMG_0042

The card base was sent to me thru a subscription to www.splitcoaststampers.com last Wednesday and I thought…cool….this is the card base I would like to use.  It’s a tutorial with written instructions and pictures showing how to cut and fold the base.  Also they have a video showing the same instructions.

My card base is from cardstock from Stampin! Up, and additional cardstock is from Wal-mart.  The sentiment and trim on sides and bottom from a retired kit from http://closetomyheart.com/ that I had purchased about three years ago and now using.

Go on over to http://dtsartblog.blogspot.com and the gallery at http://diecutdesigner.com/forum   to look at the teams designs for this cute cut.

Thank you for stopping by, and I will be back on Thursday with another posting.
