I was watching my daughter-in-law creating a broach from polymer clay and thought I could create a cut file from the same idea.  Along with her polymer clay broach and watching a video by Penny Duncan on YouTube, I decided to give it a try.  Here is the pic of the creation....

I put the heart with the wording to the side so you can read the sentiment but it's to be put on top of the star which can be set on the lattice piece on pop things.

I will take a pic of my daughter-in-law's polymer clay broach to share with you.  She is presently teaching classes at the Junction City Kansas Art Council ... sharing her talents and ideas of creating items in polymer clay. Also included in this pic is a pen with a polymer clay covering that she taught/shared in her first class.

Here's the cuts files...

Good morning everyone...I created another file to share with you but wanted to create a .png file of the sentiment so you can use the print and cut option in SCAL2.  Here is the pic of what I created.....

Here are the links for the cut files.  Now in the cut files you will need to separate the scalloped heart with the sentiment b/4 cutting the card base, plus, as stated above, there is a print and cut layer included for the digital or the scalloped heart svg.

Once again I apologize for the pic of the card...Inkscape is very fussy with saving anything.  I haven't quite figured it out...if anyone has suggestions please advise me.  Thank you.

Here is another cut file that I am sharing.  The heart topper will need to be broken apart to cut it with your Cricut machine.  The sentiment is on the base card.

I took the post from Monday morning and added a frame to it.  It's a little different and probably what I will do later today is create a print and cut file in SCAL and MCT.....

Ok....I did not want this to show this way, but Inkscape...you have to save your work in the boxed area and it's extremely frustrating for me.

Later.
Well...this had been a good day...until about an hour ago.. I found that ALL my files (svgs, MTC, digitals and ALL my photos . even of the great-grandson) are completely lost.  Do not know what happen but went to turn my laptop on, and the external disk drive would not come up.  And it was not FULL yet.  So all my saved files have taken a 'walk' and thankfully the photos of my great grandson are also on Facebook under my granddaughter's page.

So... All the work I have done...down the drain...not very happy b/c I have to start over.  And to top this off, the work I done this morning is lost and I cannot even find the page on About.com that had the instructions and clipart.  Bless this mess and this day.

The files here on my blog are saved at box.net....thank God for that!

I am playing around this morning with digitals while waiting for news from both sisters who have a stressful day to face...one a dr's appt to view her options from the CT Scan she had last week; and the younger sister re:her job at a local bank in Chicago.  Keeping my mind busy so I don't worry which is hard to do.

Here is what I am/was working on ... I ended up creating this .png file in Inkscape as Paint and Abode Photoshop Elements was not cooperating for me!  In fact, I am still learning how to create files in Paintshop Elements and need to have the Dummies book at my side!  LOL  Plus my mind is no cooperating where I need to copy and paste.

I do have my problems with Inkscape but I keep plugging away and learn what I can.

Thank you for looking.

Good morning...I have another file to share.  I have been learning the new feature in SCAL2...Print and Cut.  Thanks to a blogger: Paper Pastime and DLHill,   she had this video and a written tutorial for Print and Cut in Scal2 that is very easy to follow and I thank her so much for this.  Now, to be honest, since I am on vacation in Kansas (have been here since December 2010 and ready to go home!) I have not had the opportunity to test this due to my Cricut Expression is at home.  I'm soooo excited about getting home and using my new toy...I upgraded from a Cricut Personal to a Expression.

Here is two scut2 files....one with a oval and another square.  I intentionally used a digital that you would have to color in with watercolors, chalk or whatever you desire.  My printer does not have any colored ink and it's sooo expensive that I prefer to print in black and white and than color in.  Or you can use Cri-Kit Gel Pens for the outlining.

Here is another digital both as line art and colored in to share with you ... again using box.net for my downloading source.  I am using Photoshop Elements and a little of paint.net for the coloring effect.

Here is the files to use:

This is a digital file to share that I have been working with both in png and jpeg format along with the colored pieces.  I am not sure how to do all this thru the new format on box.net so I am going to download the links too.

Good evening ... trust your day was a good one and you created some new things.  I spent the afternoon coloring a digital stamp and sharing it here.  If I knew how to do the print and cut on SCAL or MTC I would include all this in a cut file.  Something more to learn, hopefully soon.  I am learning how to use Abode Photoshop Elements 7 and the tablet that came with it!

The above is in png and jpeg format.

Hi everybody...I hope you all had a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year.  I have been in Kansas since before Christmas and looking forward to going home in four weeks.  I have spent a great time with my two wonderful granddaughters but I have some things to get done at home.  I find that my car needs new tires, medical prescriptions need to be reordered and applying for medicare since I will be turning 65 this year.
I have treated myself to a new Cricut Expression and would like to get home to try the machine out.

I have created a cardfile in scut2, svg and mtc for your personal use.  First here is the picture of what I created.
